Controls scheme horrible why? because you need to move something more than you fingers? oh, gosh...

Is the PERFECT control scheme for a sword fighting game on Wii: no buttons, just your own moves.

How come you people don't get that he is only doing this for fun?  He's not trying to reinvent the series, he's not giving it "what it needs" (it needs nothing, it is doing as good as it ever has).  This is just fun fan service for us.

it is? isn't the goal to kill the opponent by yourself 1 on 1? don't see what's so different about it concept wise, sure the item weapon concept is only utilized in that game, but turn all the items off and you got your classic fighter. The items would indeed make it even harder to implement the online properly.
How about the fact that the gameplay is completely different than any other fithing game.  Excluding games built to be a ssb clone.

Hey, hows about everyone quit their bitchin until the game is actually reviewed or until you play it. It's obviously just fun fan service, give it a chance first
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I agree Ive never seen a bitchier bunch of "fans" in my entire life. I avoid threads for the new games 99% of the time because of shit just like this.

Then the game will come out and it could be the best CV game since SotN and ppl will STILL bitch endless about stupid shit like the color of a single pixel on a the ass of the succubus or somethin equally retarded.

You dont like the new char designs? Suck it up! Be a fuckin man and except change. Its a fuckin video game. Just like in that horrible game called "Real Life" characters can change clothes and get haircuts. Do they always look as good? Maybe not but have you ever had a haircut that was a good idea at the time but later you noticed it made you look like a weird? Sure ya have we all have.

You dont think CV should be or would make a good fighter? I think you should go fuck yourself. Do you like that? Doesnt matter their both opinions. And opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and I dont particularly wanna look at yours.

Its a fuckin video game.
Perhaps that's the difference between you and the people bitching.

I don't think I have ever really complained about people who look optimistic on Judgment. I only complained about the people who complained about the ones who complained about the new character designs.

Anyone. You like the new character designs? You like SC-style fighting games? Fine. I don't. So what?

Then he's not talking about you.  He's talking about the people saying this game will obviously be terrible, and that people who are optimistic for it are stupid.

Just curious - Is it safe to come back to this topic? If not, I'll shut up and go away, but I'm sick of people complaining about costumes...

SSB is totally different. It's not stamina-based (though there is a stamina-special-melee included), but you take damage and fly off more easily as you take more damage. The goal is not to simply decrease the enemy's HP to zero, it is to get him out of the screen, which changes a lot. Also the games have a real jump/physics-engine as well as real environments with platforms etc, which most other fighters don't.

SSB is the only fighter I really like so far.

Have you tried Melee? It's so much better, it's on a whole other level.

well I have to agree that game was the first game to do that, but flying 500 feet and blowing up as opposed to just straight up dieing really isn't that big of a difference though.

so does gunstar heroes, it's one of the things I love about that game too.

Oh-oops, sorry. I thought you were talking about Brawl only. I hate abbreviation; they confuse me.

Anyway, Smash Bros is awesome, but still, entirely different from Soul Calibur-esque fighting games, like Judgement. I prefer Smash Bros, but one on one fighters are good too. I hope Judgement will be as successful as Soul Calibur (specifically Soul Calibur 2, NOT Legends, which sucked in every way possible) though I find it unlikely... :(

Damn abbreviations...
