To tell the truth, i'm not imbressed with the model of Rick.
Well, only time will tell if it will be good.

Indeed. I imagine that model isn't final, but we'll see. No matter what, though, I'll still probably get it. It's a new Splatterhouse, for goodness (evilness?) sake.

You know what's really sad?  That it took so long for the next Splatterhouse to be revealed.

Also, the model does look kinda crappy.

(What's really sad is that I read through this topic again and didn't remember any of it for a while.)

Looks like a hit to me! I really dig the new damage system and how it shows on Rick's figure how badly hurt he is. I think that's a really cool way to do it!

I have the EGM magazine (free subscription of a complimentary offfer from joystiq.com)  Apparantly, the damage system's like Halo; take damage, run for cover, heal.  Except when you take damage in this game, your body gets scarred to five degrees, eventually leading to the loss of limbs.  Your mask heals you, though.

Super stoked that Splatterhouse is being revisited. I couldn't be more happier. They better have some variants classic songs, like Crystal Prison.

I do agree, there is something off on Rick. He's too buff. And not that Rick shouldn't be buff, but his uber-buff look should be reserved to his powerered up form, like in Splatterhouse 3.

And, what are those creatures he's fighting? Is Rick going full out against the Deep Ones? I always liked the Lovecraft nods in the Splatterhouse games(Dr West??). Still, I hope we get a GOOD amount of you casual fleshy zombies. The flesh zombies are what MADE Splatterhouse. They are basically zombies that you can splat and smear on walls. The whole theme and presence of rotting bodies is one of the main visual themes of the Splatterhouse series. They better line some of the rooms with piles of meat and rotting corpses! Don't skimp with the organic stages and remember to too add the boreworms!!

Also, is this going to be a remake of the first Splatterhouse, or an official Splatterhouse 4. I always thought, to at least roll on the continuity, make David the star. Right now, actually, given that the first two Splatterhouse games take place in 1988 and Splatterhouse 3 takes place in 1993, David would be of proper college age NOW(since he was born after Splatterhouse 2) and could have potential as being the next badass to take up his father's duties.
