I always assumed "the Medal" was a retread through Rondo of Blood with no new storyline.  But after seeing the Pucchi slot game, which is an actual sequel to Curse of Darkness, I'm not so sure (I'm basing that assumption off the fact that Dracula is resurrected in the game).  Maybe "The Medal" has an original storyline and takes place between Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night???

I dunno. Slot machines and storylines don't go together very well. It would be interesting, though.
