To whom ever made that website save Sonia. I feel your pain

I, myself am a devoted fan of female antagonists and since I much prefer Legends over LoI I wanted to let you guys know what I was doing. While I was down south for my third year of schooling I drew up a home brew Castlevania game in my head. The game is the unofficial sequel to Legends and stars our beloved Sonia (That's also my mom's name)

The story basics follow as so: Sonia kills Dracula then lives in peace in a remote fortified village. Four years later the people, knowing about her powers and who she's related to, start to fear her and grow evermore distant and distrustful; save one. Sonia's close friend for four years; a countess called Nadiya Stasja.
The plot of the story is that Nadiya is tired of the townspeople's prejudice towards Sonia so she takes matters into her own hands. She believes that by becoming the villain the people will once more praise Sonia as a hero and end the feuding. So Nadiya journeys to the remains of Castlevania and through a blood ritual, becomes the Regent of evil.
For those of you who're expecting a Dracula confrontation it is not to be. Nadiya is in total control of the powers of darkness through her own spiritual purpose. This is something that Dracula has never been able to do without selling his soul to the Devil for the power he craved.
With that done it's time to explain the rest. The game's layout is much like Belmont's revenge. Traditional side-scrolling action. After the first two levels you come to a fork in the road. Four levels to choose from and you can do these levels in any order you want. Then after that it's off to Castlevania itself. The castle has about six levels. One level with a half-way boss fight like in CV 3. And in the final stage you fight two pre-bosses before you fight the regent of evil; Nadiya.
The game's graphics are of NES quality. I've even whipped up a complete Sonia sprite sheet in NES quality without having to convert her GB counterpart. The coloring however is more then 8-bits concidering I'm working with a not-so limited pallet (Corel Photopaint)

I've done all the items for the game including enemies, boss characters, attacks, etc. The bosses are mainly ripped from other CV games but all have more coloration added to them and some even have smoother movement. One of the main parts to this game that I need to knuckle down and work on is the anime cutscenes. Another veritable roadblock is the engine itself. I'm no programmer eventhough I've been tinkering with Game Maker for sometime and met with little success. If I could get it down then I'd be expecting to see Sonia function like Simon from CV 2 But have the same environmental interaction as see in CV 3; Jumping through blocks from below, etc.
I am currently working on level construction though not through programming but more'n less painting a picture of the stages themselves; How I want them to look, where the items are located, doors, candles, etc.
If it's possible I would like to show you guys the level layouts and other things but I'm not sure if this forum would allow me to pull it off.
