well I'm playing through an emulator, I still don't get the action view, battle view thing. I left it and got me the castlevania 64, even though almost nothing changed for the first stages, I mean hell even the HUD and start interface is the same, but IMO the whip is better than energy shot from wolfman.

Agree, playing as a whip wielding hero is so much better.

But, I prefer to play LoD Reinhardt mode than the CV64 ones. I just love how the whip changes into different shape when you powered it up.:D
Whereas the CV64 whip just stay in the same shape.

I've found some footage of someone playing the demo on their PS3 if anyone's interested  ;)

Demo italiana Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (parte 1)

It appears to be the same as the E3 demo

It is the same as the E3 version. The Demo is really awesome. The combo system is just like Lament of Innocence, the atmosphere was great, the music was good for what it is, voice acting was good, graphics were amazing. There's also a shot of a gigantic full moon for a few seconds.

Also, strangely enough it says that a man name Rinaldo Gandalfi is the guy who made Gabe's whip. Oh, and speaking of Gabe.. He's a complete bad ass. The way he throws that dagger in the wolf's eye to use him as a ledge to get back on his horse.. Holy shit! Also, the first thing you hear when you start up the demo is organs!

Everything was great. Ask me questions if you'd like.

well you said that the combat resembles LoI, would you mind explaining that? because I've thought that the combat system would resemble God of War more with chains and the action and all.
combat is very important with these type of games, thanks.

The controls are perfect. I've never really played GoW, so I can't answer the other question accurately. It's like Lament in a sense that you learn more attacks to your basic combo, and you can mix, and match your attacks up to make different combos. Everything is nice and fluid. Gabe has some serious range on that whip too.

Oh, and you can learn to throw 5 daggers at once instead of just 1! Kind of like how Richter throws his in Rondo.

alright thanks, now I can rest assured that this game would feel more of Castlevania than your average action-adventure.

I seriously don't see why anyone would get a PS+ anyway, til now IMO nothing is exactly worth the money.
but I don't understand why would Konami release their Demo exclusively, I mean doesn't it make more sense that a company would want more people to play their demos, instead of an exclusive small portion of PS3 owners that have payed for the PS+ and own a European account. isn't that sales-limiter?

For those that want to go through the trouble: supposedly, if you make a UK account with a PSN card (and get PSN+), you'll be able to play the demo here in the states as well.  I do want to play it, but I think I can wait on it till next week. I've got a PSN card and I contemplated getting plus but I don't really get (other than the demo) why I should.

Man, the combat really looks satisfying.

It's crazy to think that we've only seen maybe 5/50 of the stages so far.

I seriously don't see why anyone would get a PS+ anyway, til now IMO nothing is exactly worth the money.

It's just a little promotion. The demo is going completely public next week for both consoles.

Just like everyone says, its not worth it(lowest you can go is 3 month for $17), just wait for the free demo to come.

Also, strangely enough it says that a man name Rinaldo Gandalfi is the guy who made Gabe's whip.

Now its starting to sound like a remake of lament.

Man, the combat really looks satisfying.

Yes, and the enemies look....grown up.  I don't know how else to put it.  But they look dangerous actually.  Good stuff, good stuff....

Man...time passes so slowly when anticipation is on the menu.
