Well Enric (D-Tritus) reads the boards regularly, maybe he could give us some insight into this less than subtle symbolism?

Pretty sure Cox and a couple of his comic book writing friends just worked on dialogue. The story was initially conceived by Mr. Alvarez.

Hi there. First Happy New Year to everyone. About your question on wings, they're just a symbol of God's power. However, the important thing here is Gabriel has finally proven to be the Chosen One and therefore he is worthy to hold such power and use it for whatever is necessary. At the end of the combat against Satan, Gabriel releases that tremendous power, vanishing Zobek's spell and sending Satan back to Hell in one go. The interesting thing is God Mask wasn't as crucial as Zobek and Satan thought. Both got it and both got defeated because none of them understood real power lies in men's heart, not in mere tools.

I like this idea, but Gabriel "realeasing" that power hardly seemed voluntary. Like he wasn't quite done handing Satan his ass and was then abruptly interrupted.
I now Prossess a what?

FINALLY this was cleared up, thank you. :D

So if that's true, going back on the theory, that explains why Gabriel's dark half would become Dracula. Someone so pure would have an equally dark side to themselves, and who better than Dracula himself?

I finally got the platinum last night for LOS. Yea,yea...I know I'm late. I've been putting off the mirror/light puzzle trial for a long time, but I finally got it with 15 seconds left. I was thinking the music box trial was going to be a real pain in the ass, but fortunatly the checkpoint restart proved to be quite useful lol. I think that was one of the most time consuming platinum's I've ever achieved, just the sheer mass of the game is pretty tiresome when you have to beat it, beat it again on paladin and than go back a third time and find all the gems, arks, complete trials, etc.(unless your awesome, than you just complete the whole game on the second run). Still very fun though, I went back and played the first level and the final battle(just to watch the end cinematic) to refresh my memory before the DLC comes out.

Maybe it's the LoS version of the Forgotten One?
GOREY.

That would be interesting, I always liked the forgotten one. It was such a nice bonus after beating the game. I'm almost certain that Slogra will in fact be in the DLC, but I believe that the "main villian" will be something entirely different. Obviously it's someone or something we've seen before since it's supposedly a notorious villian, but who knows. I'm sure I'll be happy regardless of it is, as long as it's a fresh new adventure. I'm also looking forward to the second DLC pack, it will be very interesting if you get to play as Dracula, especially in modern times.

LOL.
Nothing against A/DOS, but I think it would be more interesting(to me at least)playing as full fledged Dracula in a modern day city as opposed to a boy in the future who has the potential to be full fledged Dracula. Eithier way, it's going to be a bit bizarre unless a castle rips up through the streets and adds a little flavor to the atmosphere. Perhaps we won't even play as Gab/Drac in the next game. Who knows.

Hi.  I have a question about the upcoming Lord of Shadows DLC.  I'm rather new to the xbox360 as I have been away from gaming since 2006, my last game being Xenosaga III, so my question is how do I go about getting this free DLC? (And just to prove my ignorance, what exactly is DLC?)

I'm not a hardcore Castlevania fan.  I enjoyed Super Castlevania IV, SOTN, and LOI.  I even wrote 2/3rds of a screenplay featuring Sonia and Alucard before being flamed to death, so am not up on all these monsters people are pining for, but I would love that creepy water creature with the bottom half an insect body and the top half woman to make an appearance along with those creepy dudes that throw the lanterns they carry.  Both are from SOTN.

Sincerely,

David G. Lein

For a minute, I thought you meant the spider women from CV64, which make an appearance by coming out of the poison water...

1. The DLC may or may not be free (in fact, it's most likely not).  DLC stands for "Downloadable Content".  It's usually extra stuff related to the game, whether it's artwork, a new costume, new chapters to play, new armor/weapons, etc.  It really depends on the game developers what they want to give you.
2. You'd start the game and it'd probably ask you for an update.  Once you update, it'll have an extra section in the menu at the beginning saying something like "Purchase downloadable content" at which point it'd connect you either to PSN or to XBL and have you pay for it.  Then it downloads to the HDD in your system and your game accesses the files form there.
3. You were flamed here?  Must've been a few years ago when people were completely hating on Legends, as opposed to now, when people... only mildly hate on Legends, and mostly find it inconsequential.  Anyway, apologies for that.
