I just beat all the trials and got 110% on every level. Some of those trials were ridiculous like the one where you have to destroy 100 objects before the time runs out. Surprisingly the final boss trial was really easy, and yes, that one and all the rest were finished on paladin mode. I'm glad I got them done before Reverie came out, I can't wait to play that and the trials!

I found the "destory 100 objects" trial to be difficult until I realized you could save valuable time by double jumping into the next area after the draw bridge instead of cranking the gate open. The final battle trial was indeed pretty easy considering how hard some of the others were, I was a little worried at first. I remember the hardest trial for me was the abbey library trial with the light mirrors. whew.

trials do seem to make up for the lack of any non-statistical changes between the difficulty level.  i am enjoying going back to stage 1 and trying the trials while in Paladin mode and essentially get 110% before moving on to the next location.

DLC preorder? What? Why would you have to reserve an infinitely distributable product...

I truly doubt this is the case but I remember Cox saying he would have love to included a making of dvd and since they didn't, release it later on if there was the demand, maybe they'll pack the dlc together with something like that
What a horrible night to have a curse!

I read on Gamefaqs forums that the DLC release date would be Monday 28th, but I assume it is fake.

It can be true. Today's Cox Twitter:

sNsKid: The fans want that DLC ASAP. I know I'm itching to get back to CLoS.

Cox: We just finished it, so it's gonna be a couple of weeks at least in submissions. Sorry for the wait but it's gonna be worth it!!

I hope it can be this month... Still left a couple of weeks to finish February, but that Monday 28 date... PSN updates are on Tuesdays and XBOX live are not on Wednesdays?

See what your much hated music has gotten...
International Film Music Critics Association 2011 Nomineess
http://moviecitynews.com/2011/02/international-film-music-critics-association-2011-nomineess/
I'ts just, unbelievable, the art world praises the score too much, and you still hate it...being nominated along Daft Punk (TRON) is incredible!!

Still doesn't make it a great game ost, since its pretty unfitting. It's a movie OST shoe horned into a game.

Pretty much. Just because it got nominated for whatever doesn't mean it's good.

It is good music. You may like it or not, but hats off to Oscar is in order for his commitment to the project and his talent. And it's about time the Castlevania community appreciates his work. Other professionals around the world are already doing it as you may see.

Exactly, as I've Said before, every professional musician i've met (and I've met a lot, I am one) has loved the score and praised its melancholics themes, they say it's "powerful"... now if you don't like it you can always listen to Wicked Child or Maria Samba, that's good music for you...

Mr Alvarez: I agree, but I have a suggestion: make the music play LOUDER in the game, I played it louder than default 'cause I do that with every game, and it's very powerful, but with default settings it gets drowned with voices and effects, and a score with such slow delicate themes gets harmed by it, please take this suggestion into account, the next time, make the music be prominent, not only the EPIC parts, make it louder in all parts so the not so ear-gifted fans can hear something :)
