I think the point was hit fairly well in this thread. The music is good, but not quite fitting for the CV series. Not all types of music fit with all types of movies or games. I think that's a problem that isn't necessarily just pegged down to LoS's score, but how a lot of things are done with various reboots in general. Not everything can be everything, because you loose the what makes the thing "unique" when you try to make it everything.
This really nails it. Let's hope that the sequel if not the DLC for the LoS has music that better fits what a CV should be. I'm actually surprised that we got a version of vampire killer, but not a version of bloody tears. Maybe, it will be in the DLC. However, the music has to at least fit the area. For example, if there is a chapel area in the DLC, if I was the person who chose the music, I would probably choose something like Bloody Tears or Requiem for the Gods (Royal Chapel in SotN). But, that's just my opinion.
We need to keep in mind that LoS was an attempt of trying something new and it was more or less successful in being an excellent game. In terms of being a CV, it didn't really have that feel. Let's hope that Mercurystream learns its lesson in regards to making CV games. It is my opinion that Konami develops the stories and chooses the music for the CV games whereas MS handles the programing. I mean out of all the 3D CVs, LoS has the best graphics.
