This this this this this!
I just replayed Bayonetta and I thought "God that's how big bosses should be made", the last one is bigger than the rock Titan I think, and it didn't involve climbing at all, that game is the epitome of absolutely great boss fights

I know!!! Nobody emulates the games that need to be emulated, just the ones that sell the most.

Which isn't to say Gabriel should make demons out of his hair or do completely nonsensical things, but there was more movie-ness than game-ness in LoS, if that makes sense.

I just remembered something Laura said in Reverie that might play a part in Resurrection.

It would be doubly awesome if it were like the first fight with Mundus in DMC1... buuut I doubt it. (Though Gabriel does use those wings a lot fighting Satan, so who knows?)

Gabriel using demonic wings to fight TFO in an epic aerial battle (or at least one part aerial)? Sign me up.

EDIT: But what if TFO isn't the ONLY enemy to be fight?

Never thought of that.  I've also thought of something.  What if Gabriel is backed into a corner and transforms into a powerful demon like Dracula does in the old cannon.  Gabriel becomes Dracula after all.

I'm betting on something like that happening. He will transform into his new "true form" causing TFO to "despair".

If I remember correctly, vampires in the LoS universe are FORCED into a demonic form at their early life; only elders acquire human forms so I guess Gabriel won't be too human in the battle with TFO

Everything comes full circle

I loved LoS, I really did. That said...maybe I'm the only one who feels this way but knowing how the story ends makes both DLC's just seem...bleh. Not worth it.

IMHO, the DLC would've carried much more weight and had a greater impact if we had NOT seen the epilogue. We know what happens to Gabriel in the end. OK fine. But the DLC is just kinda lackluster to me because of it. The in-between story/games should be great and have lots to tell, but these 2 DLC's just don't fully appeal to me. Unless something monumentally epic happens in Resurrection, I'm skipping it. I'll wait for the next game.

Now if they had they made a DLC giving us the option for a free-roaming, non-linear exploration of the ENTIRE massive castle...now THAT would've been worth it! But just basically throwing another boss battle in there and extending the story of how Gabe became a vampire? No big deal to me.
*I'm not a newbie...I had several hundred posts with this screenname on the old board*

Well, there is usually at one exception to every rule.  Given Gabriel's power he could be such an exception.  Keep in mind, that this just speculation.

I agree, I liked LoS for what it was but the epilogue should've been different and the DLC isn't really worth it; however Resurrection hasn't been released yet so we can't form a solid opinion yet. But it is what it is, we just have to wait n see what happens...

Gabe will still transform into something though (even if only in a cinematic).  All the other Lords of Shadow had secondary forms, so it makes sense that Gabe would now too. Only now Gabe will have the power of all three, and be uber an vampire, thus Dracula (dun, dun DUN!!!)

They didn't even state when it would have been out in April before the outage, so I think he's just bullshitting to explain the delay for yet another one of Lords' DLC chapters.
