Like in 2d games, like Symphony. Where you jump and then in the air, you can choose to move forward a bit more or back. I'm fairly sure people refer that as jump control... as well, as height of jump.

Im fairly certain the normal jump button will be just normal jumps, used in platforms ect. The big jump is really for massive epic jumps, really more of a cool add on for when the platforms are huge, that way you dont jump ridiculously far when you are normally trying to jump. its not that complicated.
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

jump control and height of jumping is the same thing... Its how long you do whatever it is you do to jump effects how high/far you jump. Its also called dynamic or variable jumping. Air Control is your ability to control your character in the air and has absolutely nothin to do with 2d games

If it's a jump used only for certain parts, wouldn't it be better just to have a button for special occasions? Like in this spot, press this button to do it. Break a machine, jump a chasm, etc.

Eh, iunno, I always thought Jump control is both. Oh well if it's not, just words anyway, as long as I know which is being talked about.

Wow, well the 2 jump buttons sure look hated on. I'm just not getting amped up yet. I think this team doing the game wouldn't do something like that unless it was for a cool reason.

But shit, I know the LoS team read this board, so maybe they'll take it out now. haha..
Hello everyone from mercurysteam. This is Enric Alvarez, director of CV LoS. I can assure you in our game there is ONE JUMP BUTTON and jumps are controllable. No idea what you were talking about but I hope this ends speculation about it ;D

Indeed... good to know on the jump button, cuz I was just thinking wtf.

Still, director of CV LoS, ... didn't think you'd cuss... on a gaming board. (A post you made a while ago) Not that I care, but I just think it's funny, since most people try to look all professional.

First of all, welcome on the forum Mr Alvarez. :)

I don't need any more proof. ;)

You mean this one about GoW "rip-off"? Actually I don't blame Mr Alvarez - talking about "rip-offs" is now some kind of sick tradition among players and almost every previewed game is being accused of such thing now. We can't avoid comparisons - good ideas are good ideas, everyone should use them if they worked well in other popular games. It's only better for players. As Mr Alvarez said - quality is the only thing that really matters.

Yea, that'd be the one. I agree though.

Meh, doesn't matter to me, doesn't make me think less of people. Maybe even more, rather than those guys who tries to use big words or act like they're better than everyone else.

Mr Alvarez - do you plan to release some kind of inside materials? Like "Making of" videos? It's always interesting to see developers at work. ;)
