In my opinion, the GBA was one of the best "Castlevania" consoles. You had Circle, which felt like a true trek through a huge and mysterious demon castle. And Aria, an engaging and beautiful adventure through an army of mythical beasts. You even have the NES classic Castlevania, if you want to count it. But then there's Harmony. It's bizarre, it's spooky, it's beautifully detailed. The backgrounds and scenery are plauged with haunting statues and ghastly faces. The monsters and strange and creepy, boasting some of the coolest bosses CV has to offer. The music is eerie and sets the perfect mood for the graveyard battles back dropped by vibrant story skies. Harmony made me feel as if all hell had broken loose. I was truly up against all the demons of the underworld, in this frightening place. I LOVE Harmony of Dissonance.
Go. Set Forth! Both your own life and hers are at stake.

I remember seeing Circle of the Moon for the first time in a magazine, it instantly caught my eye. Then playing it when it first came out, I was at the "Babbages" game store. All the game stores back in the day had funky names, Funcoland was the best. They're all assimilated into Gamestops nowadays. I miss the diversity :|. Play n Trade has all the retro stuff now.

But yeah Harmony was great upon it's release as well. I remember opening it up in my car right after purchase & playing it right there. The graphics are very captivating ~_~

Also, the enemies were certainly unique and the locales are bizarre. Which reflects the nature of Castlevania itself. Altho it was a bit tedious treading thru the castle twice. It did add some replay value, though.

It feels good to own all the GBA-era cartridges! Soon all these precious items will be gone, as we enter the digital age........

THIS is exactly what I've always wanted to say about HoD when people start hating on it, but I never seem to find the words. I play this game once a year and I still can't get over how creepy/strange/eerie/random/beautiful/ugly/flawed yet PERFECT it is. It's by far my favorite Metroidvania.

HoD was neat on its own, but it always confused the hell outa me between the two castles, since their indenticle cept passages and etc, still nice i would love to see the game remade for the DS or all the GBA games see a DS remake with enhanced sound and graphics

Yea harmony is amazing for its atmosphere and musical compositions but no i disagree with the bosses being good, they were for the most part all lame.
