The sooner the better, right?
All in all, graphics don't matter, weither or not they reused graphics. The gameplay is the one that counts. People baww about the simplest things i swear. On a different note, there could be a chance that it goes down the same route as Castle Crashers, where the game gets a few more stuff than the 360 version, least that was the case with CC since it had all DLC characters that were available in the 360 plus 2 new modes that wern't present in the 360 version. Then again that's kinda like a "tales of" series treatment (the "tales of" series is an rpg series by namco btw), in which the port gets more extras than the original release.
As for the character i'm using, it'll either be Julius, Alucard or Jonathan. But if i end up maxing out those 3, i'll move onto Shanoa, Soma and Richter if the DLC pack is released on the same day. Not really gonna touch Charlotte that much cause i never feel right using a magic user. And before you start thinking that i'm a little hypocritical about that, Shanoa counts more as a magic knight than a magic user.
Yep, sooner the better, since at least in the first week or so work won't be so heavy and all.
Yeah, extra modes would be more likely than getting new characters/stages DLC. Course that might just be the offline multiplayer, but doesn't hurt to hope for more for the game. Tales of series happens to be one of my favorites as well, but thats a side note xD Not everyone can be pleased with a game, but usually its just their tastes that differ from the games design. Problem in recent years though, visuals have become more of a push with game companies vs making games with actual quality gameplay. Also probably why a lot of gamers are crying out for the classic games because back then gameplay was the most important, and visuals came in a close second.
Not at all in regards to not using Charlotte xD Charlotte like Yoko is more focused on magic vs their close range attacks. Maria will likely function as she did in Rondo of Blood with her summons, probably using her speed to her advantage. Shanoa would be the most balanced of the spell users since she has the weapon Glyphs and Spell Glyphs. her maneuverability is also something nice to have with the Magnus and all. I do prefer Shanoa as well, but at the moment thats because I played OOE before, and barely have touched POR yet. Oh right, majority of what I said is assumptions plus some reading I've done on the characters, can't say for sure xD
For as long as I can keep going on multiplayer games, I'll probably work with all of the characters and try to at least get them all to a decent level with decent equipment, so I can use whatever the situation calls for (or whatever my friends aren't using or what characters they want me to use xD).
Another thing to discuss; I heard Alucard got the short end of the stick as he just was not as powerful or very useful in comparison to the other characters (I think that statement was specific to his spells, and that valmanway and the other broken weapon were his only redeeming points). Can't say its true, but I am curious as to what makes him stand out from the others gameplay wise... Im guessing his strongest point would be the special weapon techniques like what he had in SOTN.
