I love this kind of cross-board stuff.
I don't know if I disappoint you, but I'm not from Cyberfanatix and SRK forums. I just read them form time to time, because I search for the news about KOF13 and MK9. Ocassionally I saw posts of this "Wonder Lady" and I was quite shocked, when I see her here of all of the places. I must say her actions there are doesn't very different form what she is doing here.
if you were paying attention, you and others can't tolerate my opinions, continuing to reject them as
if only their opinions are facts so they can justify hating this game.
You know I'm usualy pretty tolerate towards other opinions. But not in situations, when somebody like you, trying to literally shove it down everyones throat like Truth in the last Instance.
That's why your posts look like some sort of oddity. Not because you have different opinion, but because you present it in a such way, that people begin to question your judgement (and possible affilation with Konami =В).
If you come out of your cave, you would see and realize there are fans who have been faithful since the NES Castlevanias that don't mind the copypaste and don't see it as stagnation.
Ha-ha-ha...You are funny girl. No seriously - do you believe yourself in what you just wrought?! Sadly it looks like it.
I'm fan of the series since Castlevania on the NES and I played almost all games in the series, except Curse of Darkness and CDX on PSP. So I know what I am talking about.
And epic copypaste in the series didn't appear until IGA began his "Symphony clone march".
Also it looks like you don't know series very well, because if you did, you would know that pretty much only classic game that "widely" used assets from previous one was Castlevania 3. So before question someone devotion to the series - learn your facts, so people could take you seriously.
The metroidvania assets still are young and fresh, and better looking compared to the NES sprites/art.
Some of them are 17 years old. And sprites form Symphony and DS'vanias have quite different styles. So not only some of them are overused, but they also don't fit each other well.
Do you need to tell that to Harmony of Despair's developers in their face so they
will set you straight on the facts and make you feel like a complete child?
If I had this chance - yes, I asked them, "What were they thinking?" And how much they were paid for this. Not sure if answers would be honest. =D
Existing single player Castlevanias can only hold one's attention for so long.
That's why people still play Symphony of the Night, right?
Hate is loud and more popular, that doesn't mean positive thinkers anticipating this aren't out there.
Seems there are almost no "positive thinkers" on any Castlevania forums I visited. As I said most opinions on this game are varying from disdain to outright hatred. This game being praised by mostly random people, who don't know much about Castlevania as the whole and doesn't followed series for 20 years of it existance.
And getting all the best equipment for each character will take longer than you think.
And then what? Kill the same bosses again and again?
sigh, closed minded thinking has no chance of seeing beyond their limits.
Before saying something meaninfull, try to look at the mirror first. Maybe this sentence will fit you much better, than anyone else.
2-D gameplay and rhythm we are familiar with since SOTN onwards.
That's the problem - nothing new.
If this game will be "good" (like in relative terms) and enjoyable for some people, then OK. Personaly I will think about this as a lazy money drainer created purely on a hype and fame of previous releases (or just one release).
