Hey everyone. I have to make some questions regarding the game, I have looked up on internet about this but I found anything.
Maybe it has been discussed but I really need to know this.

Is this game also playable and enjoyable in single player? Or is multiplayer online mandatory.

Oh yes it will be very enjoyable in single player!  It also includes an optional a Ghost run where you can compete against other players' best single player times. ;D

Quote
Even if single player is available, I think is mostly multiplayer, on this matter, I need xbox live gold to play?

You only need Gold to play multiplayer, single player you can play without Gold. But it's recommended to enjoy the multiplayer too!  6 players Online co-op in Castlevania with some of the fan favorites as playable characters is a luxury no one should miss out on!  ;D

And finally, do you know if there is a release on PS3, because the controller is much more confy.

At E3, it was said the PSN version getting this will depend on the success of the Xbox360 version.  There is a good chance they will release it for PSN in the future but there is no proof either way.   Best to not think about this subject much until  official confirmation, should they decide to bring it to PS3.    ;D

Y'know, maybe they should stick with fully recycled sprites and backgrounds.
WHAT IS THIS!?! I don't even-

It's horrible reuse with bad photoshop effects. You know, like those things that kids make with photoshop and background rips from the series. Couldn't get any worse.

i suppose i might end up playing the game multiplayer by myself with two controllers so i can get and do all the "stuff".  if it works that ways, anyways.

Aha here is the screen that was caught a glimpse of at one of the E3 videos!

http://www.konami.jp/products/dl_xbox_dracula_hd/images/img_multib.jpg

Hmm maybe if the text can be translated, we can understand what that each text box means.  Some think it might be choosing warp points to previous equip menu pedastals players have touched, but others think it may be a shortcut menu for skills.  Or something else.

My theory is that it might be preset messages players can tell other players, in text bubble format.  That might be handy for those without headsets or headsets that have a broken microphone.  Preset things to say could be better than no communication at all.  Simple feature but could be helpful in certain situations.  ;D

I think affinity's claim that the monsters might spill different colors of blood is wrong, but now I'm even more confused as to what those streaks could be.

Monsters do bleed different colors of blood.  Imps bleed blue, and zombies bleed red.  This was also done in Ecclesia.  My question is whether Alucard will be able to recover HP with different colors of blood in dark metamorphosis, or if he'll only be healed by red colored blood only.

I don't really give a rats ass if graphics are recycled.  Every character plays just like they did originally complete with their own weapon sets and abilities.  It's not like Alucard in DoS which he was bare bones and didn't even have his weapons.  There's an achievement you can get by collecting over 300 different items.  I do hope there are several dlc stages because 6 stages is a bit short for me.  PSP Maria would be my favorite dlc character, but I suspect Richter, Albus and either Julius or Yoko being the other dlc chars.

I support the better animation required cause.

Abe <3 welcome back!

I agree that Maria should be a playable character via DLC

Harmony of Despair has the second highest amount of votes for the game people are most looking forward to in August. That's pretty decent for quick throw-together game for X-Box Live.

[Affinity mode]OF COURSE!! It has name of the great series and it has gameplay of the VERY BEST titles in the history of the series and it has ALUCARD!!!
How it couldn't be counted as the best thing in the world???  :o [/Affinity mode]

Well it's really sad. Though for casual gamers all this reused stuff doesn't play a big role. It is exactly what IGA is good for - churn out some mish mash of sprites and past ideas and sell it to the masses.
Though with such approach Castlevania will never be top tier series...

Thanks powers for the LOS.

Thanks powers for the LOS.

I′d say LOS is a vomit. If you were so sick of CV, you could have start playing any other game. You don′t need to wait for someone to say: ″Forget all you know about CV. This new game we are making will now be a restart for CV franchise and it is all about titans and lame gaming.″ Few months before release of the game ″Oh, let′s add some CV elements so that the current fans don′t bitch.″ Yeah, enjoy the ″new″ CV. I am going to play some real CV now.

WTF are those things?

Vegetable diarrhea and baby vomit.  The raw materials used to make Harmony of Despair, of course.

You are wrongas. I'm not sick of Castlevania, I'm sick of IGA's less then stellar games, with weird stories, and recycled sprites and gameplay ideas.

I've been waiting for this for quite a time, because I want to play a REAL Castlevania game, not some cartoony influenced crazyness with 15 year old gameplay.

Yeah, enjoy the ″new″ CV.
I will. I will enjoy the "new" Castlevania (though how this game is "new"? It's practcally breathes "old school"' vanias). You can enjoy your low quality Symphony clones. Have a nice day.

as for those colorful things, since they're in Barlowe's stage, i would have to think they have something to do with paintings.  perhaps portrait that were shredded or paper that was used to mix paint.
