the truth:
Halmony of Despair is nothing more than just an extreme excercise in redundancy; maybe this concept wouldn't be so bad if they didn't reuse
every single asset that most of us fans have been familiar with for the past 10+ years. The more videos I look at, I can't help but get the feeling that this was made specifically for players that are total virgins to the
Castlevania experience, while the rest of us hardcores & maybe even casuals are left to sit here in bewilderment. I don't wanna say that I'm insulted by this project, but goddamn there's absolutely NO effort put into the gameplay (i know Affinity is gonna tear my ass apart for saying that but it's true). Seriously, they could be spending their resources porting Adventure ReBirth to other consoles (ya know, an actual CASTLEVANIA GAME), or even better, making ReBirth 2, but instead they'd rather release lackluster updates that some fans have to force themselves to play/like just because it's Castlevania. I almost feel bad for Ms. Kojima that her beautiful artwork has to be associated with this apparent slopfest :[ Now it looks like they want to drag the NES levels into this for literally no reason--ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME?
It's not nostalgia, it's pure laziness.
I haven't played HD in a while because, as I've said recently, the novelty has worn off too quickly. It would be highly beneficial for everyone if they were to create, you know, a BRAND NEW stage with BRAND NEW enemies/elements. Is that just too much to ask? They have all the utilities to do this and more at their disposal, yet they simply choose not to & instead port over the same stuff over and over with little variation. Such a waste.
Maybe I need to be drunk or something to fully enjoy this? I'll prolly get in a few rounds this weekend
