As much as I love LoS, if the DLC took place in a modern city I might just have to choke a bitch.

Yeah, that would be strange if Gabriel got his hands on an Uzi.

I'm sure people didn't make a huge deal when Soma got his hands on a Handgun or even a Laser Rifle, or those throwing Grenades those dead soldiers dropped as their Soul Power.

Just because a game may take place in a modern time frame or include futuristic weaponry does not imply the entire game will maintain that image. I still like Crisis's idea on this Brotherhood Knight named Simon.

It be even more funny if Gabriel just decides to throw away his combat cross declaring he's unworthy to carry it, and Simon just so happens to find it abandoned somewhere. Or this Rinaldo Gandolfi that is supposedly alive that we never got to see just improves on the existing design and ends up making a weapon that exceeds the power of the previous Combat Cross. (not in gameplay terms by plot based power upgrade)

B..but the knight named simon was my idea wasn't  it? :'(

What could Rinaldo make that would surpass the CC? He couldn't just make the original VK and have it be stronger. Leather whip< Extendo spike chain cross stake. It would be cool though if simon found the CC and Gandolfi upgraded it or if the sequel took place hundreds of years later simon could find the remnants of a broken CC and use like the old VK (just the chain part)

Sorry about that StriderKumori, when I was reading the posts when typing out my reply, I must have misread Crisis' name with yours and mixed up the two user names.

But I mean already the Combat Cross, Stake part was damaged after the fight with Carmilla, essentially making the Chain Whip aspect the remaining useful function from it, essentially crippling the weapon to nothing more then essentially a Whip with a Cross like handle.

Perhaps a hundred years or so after Gabriel's quest the towns people who were saved from the Lords of Shadow remember the tale of the 'Vampire Killer' and weapon itself becomes a myth / local legend in the name just sticks and the Combat Cross itself is long forgotten as the original name.
