In all honesty, I like CotM's the best. Not sure why...it sounds kind of happy and peppy...but it's my favorite.

I think the SCIV version sticks in my head the most. Like Rondo's version, too. I checked out that YouTube compilation (the first one), and I'm kind of ashamed that I don't even remember the sound of the remix in the X68000 game, especially since it's so good.

I've been growing more fond of CotM's version as well.
I think it's because of the different pace and key.  CV4 has it in a different key as well but the instrumentation is a tad odd.

Having organs do the melody at the start of the song suits the song.

@Corneliab:
Yeah, I'm not fond of your irritating responses with inflammatory language, Corneliab, and I've warned you about it before.
It seems you still can't get through your head that in this forum we will have civilized people language, and I won't tolerate peppering your language with insults to sound bigger.

One more time I see this from you and you're getting banned.  You've been warned.

@Everyone else:
However, I think you guys missed the link that he put as "Say what now", which caused the confusion.
I will fix the forum's link colors so that links are easier to see.

Chronicles - Fujimori is in a league of his own.

Rondo of Blood - Rondo's early '90s pop excess is so good, man. The galloping bass is supreme, and the Stalker bit is how you pay homage to something without being overbearing about it.

Dracula's Curse - Bubbly percussion! It's preferable to the Densetsu version, as well.

Harmony of Dissonance - I love Harmony's sharp instrumentation, and a medley together with Clockwork just, uh, works.

I found Rondo's version to be a little strange. The song pauses around the climax of the tune for a second before it starts up again. For me, this ruined to tune. At least in the SNES version (CV: Dracula X) they fixed it and it sounds much better. I hate it when the put pause gaps in tunes, it just brakes the rhythm.

Rondo of Blood, sounds very powerful and dynamic for Vampire Killer.

Castlevania, I think. After that, I'm going with Rondo of Blood. I actually don't like the CV4 version.

I felt the same, it stopped when it was getting good.

PS: Am I the only one liking Harmony of Despair's Vampire Killer?

A half-second of silence somehow diminishes the enjoyability of a song? Hum.

I forgot to mention another cool thing about it, though: you can hear bird noises during the intro, solidly tying it into the stage where it's used. Only Rondo and Symphony really do this kind of worldbuilding through their music.

I liked Harmony of Despair's version, especially that boss drum riff at the beginning. Forgot to vote for it though. >.< I just wish it had Rondo/DXC's extra part towards the end. The song was too short for the stage it was put in.

Pretty much my thoughts.

I voted for the SOTN remix, the first moment I heard that song back during the Saturn days, I trembled. It is the first time in my early years to hear such a shocking remix for a song I loved since I played CV1 during first grade.
