There are WAYYYY too many FPS games coming out. The lack of a Japanese aesthetic in video games and the cost of dev time is really showing now. Sony's PSVita is intriguing, but I don't see it generating enough desirable games. Nintendo put on a good show, though not exactly stellar. However, I'm noticing that Nintendo is making strange choices lately. They're either putting games on the wrong systems (Luigi's Mansion and Pilot Wings should have been for Wii, as should have the after-show talked about Pikmin 3), and the Mario games are missing the point. Why have the Tanooki suit if you can't fly with it? And why are the levels less open than Mario 64/64DS? And also, why is Kid Icarus Uprising mostly an on-rails shooter? (This is something that could have been a big Wii game if done more ambitiously).
Anyway, Skyward Sword looks very promising in its gameplay, despite the somewhat questionable visual aesthetic (I preferred the WiiU demo Zelda's art direction). Elswhere, Rayman Origins looks excellent, but I'm just not a fan of the Rayman world, so it doesn't do too much for me. The new Kirby for Wii seems too little too late. I'm rambling...
Not trying to sound negative. I was intrigued by a lot of stuff, but it seems that all three systems are making odd choices and are struggling to find a consistent tone. Nintendo is the closest, but again, their recent scatterbrained approach to releases in the market is concerning to me.
