Robot Chicken: The Cabbage Patch

It's probably some of Dracula's human worshipers doing the same thing to monster plants.

I am actually interested in the biology of this particular idea of an Alura Une, disturbing as it is.

Name: Alura Une
Type: Floral Parasite
Subspecies of: Une

Biology: The Alura Une is a rare form of the common Une. They have evolved to reach a state of human intellect, but what circumstances that have made them adapt this way is still a mystery. It is possible this is the original form of the Unes, potentially a queen.

Alura Une can remain dormant for many hundreds of years. When a potential host gets within range, they proceed to attempt to force the host into its flower. If it is successful, it will encapsulate them with a thick, hard floral shell. At this point, it will flood said shell with a potent fluid.

This fluid serves two purposes: To improve the bonding process by removing non-organic material (such as clothing and Jewelry), and to immobilize its new host and prevent damage to both the host and itself.

Alura Une appear to only attempt to capture women. This preference of sex is likely for three reasons:
1. The Alura Une (based on discussions with Alura Une Hosts) appears to be male: It lacks means to reproduce, and therefore requires a host of the opposite gender.
2. Human females have innate maternal instincts more commonly than men, which would make the subdued (but still present) consciousness a natural mother for potential children.
3. Alura Unes may wish to (Quite literally) emulate a Venus Fly Trap, using an alluring human visage to confuse and lure future victims into a false sense of security)

After the bonding process is complete: the hosts consciousness is still present, but is subdued. When talked to, the host appears to be in a constant state of bliss, and is stopped from fighting the Une's influence by ensuring that it does not linger in deep thought for an extended time. It also appears to refer to its parasite (the original Alura Une) as it's "husband" Implying that the original Alura Une is infact male.

The Alura Une will also plant both original Une and Mandragora seeds within its vicinity. These plants are then fed by the Alura Une, who captures prey that wander too close by poisoning them with a similar tranquilizer to the bonding fluid.

(Everything following is not in the original story)
It is hypothesized that an Alura Une can be forcibly separated from its host within roughly 15 hours after its initial binding. This theory came into existence when one noticed that it was possible to arouse a kind of recognition pre-15 hour mark in the host.

The Alura Une makes its host inseparable by binding both its vitals and its nervous system to its host. However, this process appears to only be mostly complete after it is first revealed. It is possible the host can be separated from the Une's vital support during this time, as the body is not wholly dependent on it.

If it was to be done, either a powerful healing or purification magic would be needed to ensure the host does not go into shock post separation. The Alura Une would also need to be killed shortly after separation, to ensure its influence is completely gone.

How do you interview a plant girl?

Wouldn't she eat you?

That depends on the person. Some of them were sent in pairs, so they would occasionally come back alive if they took my "suggestion" and shoved their friend at them as they ran away.

What a horrible suggestion. You'll run out of people fast like that. Every one knows a foot should satisfy it enough to make an escape.

Funnier but not economically efficient. How many people do you think is out there to shove the ENTIRE body at the Alura Une? Gotta conserve, you know?

Hmm...OK, this is Super Waffle's fanfic thread, so if he wants me to remove this I'll happily do so, but since you guys are talking about Alura Une, I wonder if you'd be interested in the Alura-Une-ish monster I put into one of my fanfictions:

Ctrl+F to "The Lady of the Black Grove" and tell me what you think of her. Alura-Une-ish enough for your tastes? ;) :D

Yeah, you're the one who keeps writing these, "character x turns evil and kills off the rest of the heroes while meeting no resistance" stories. I don't get why; they're not very long and don't seem to have much substance. They also always involve the heroes suddenly becoming incompetent morons who die with one hit. Do you just hate everyone in these games? Is that why you write these stories?
I don't think this guy gets it.
