Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition

Well we were kinda starting to talk about it in my UMVC3 topic so I thought, what the hell? What did you guys think of this expansion? I feel that Yun definitely should be nerfed but Yang seems alright, a few bugs but pretty sound to me. I really dislike Evil Ryu, mainly cuz I am not a fan of Evil Ryu in the first place or Ryu at all. He is like Akuma but without a midair fireball and I think less health? I can't really tell. However his Ultras are pretty deadly, if kinda boring. Oni is fun to play, very easy to combo with and I just like him a lot better than Akuma. Like Gouken he has a lot of unique moves beyond the Shoto norm, and of course his Ultras kick ass. As for the rebalances, I like that they made Makoto WAY better as I didn't like how they treated her in Super. Kinda ticked that T.Hawk was nerfed to hell, I felt he was under rated and I loved playing as him but now apparently, hes worse than Hakan :/. Overall its a decent expansion, probably needs some patching here and there but I don't play the game online often unless if it's with friends so I didn't really see all the problems people have with it. What do you guys think?

Acrade endition is a complete waste of money.
Rebalancing characters is what updates are for...
Evil Ryu de-canon's SFIV altogether, as well as him being a akuma clone isn'y bad enough
Oni makes no sense, basically he's the "Ken" to gouken, yes ANOTHER Shoto
Yun and Yang were useless, they were to replace Gen and Fei Long in SF3, besically another waste
My final thoughts. not even worth playing, SSFIV was good enough, the only plus to this game is the PC version, in which you get your "super" with extras

Atleast play the characters before you judge them. I'm not saying it's not stupid, because they could've updated but instead they wanted to milk it, but it's not as you say.

What? Yeah and beyond Fei Long and Yun being insane, everyone else was balanced nicely. Makoto was finally made playable compared to SSF4, Sakura is great, Cody was buffed up a bit, ect. Sure things like Vega and T.Hawk being nerfed made me scratch my head but overall with a little patching it could be potentially more balanced than Super was. That is kinda saying a lot though, no game is perfect.

Now I can agree with Evil Ryu to an extent, I just hate his character but Oni is awesome and kinda makes sense. Both are "what if" characters, they aren't canon really they are just representations of what could happen. Evil Ryu is if Ryu gave into the Satsui No Hadou and Oni is if Akuma just lost his humanity and became a manifestation of the Satsui No Hadou, in other words a demon(hence the name "Oni"). Also Oni only has a tatsumaki that resembles a shoto, otherwise his fireballs and shoryuken are different(the shoryuken is a multi hit up close but a single hit in the air and not that strong). He also is easier to combo with than any other Shoto, hell maybe the easiest character to combo with in the game since all of his moves just flow so well. Add in unique supers and lots of other moves and hes about as shoto as Goken, which isn't THAT shoto.

I don't see a resemblance to any of those characters. All Yun and Fei share is that they are both great at pressuring and have some good brute force, otherwise they have completely different ways of doing this. Yang has Rekkas like Fei but hes a lot different. I have no idea where you got Gen from though, he shifts from 2 different styles which last I checked was not in Yun or Yang's repertoire.

SSFIV had it's problems too, most of which were address with Arcade Edition. Most of the problems with AE were the balance issues with some of the new characters which again, probably will be patched soon since Ono plans on it as he realizes the game is unbalanced because of it.

Man... They could have picked any number of cool characters from 3rd Strike or the Alpha games, and they take the easy way out with palette swap twins and Evil Ryu + Eviller Akuma. Why not Birdie and Eagle? Why not Hugo, Twelve, Oro, or Q?

There's always Street Fighter X Tekken. Capcom did say they wanted to add more than just SSF4 characters, so here's hoping we get a Q or Necro appearance. Hell even Alex, he's awesome!

Getting kinda tired of hearing "Street Fighter" and not enough "Mega Man".

Especially when what it amounts to is another rerelease. I mean Jesus. If they'd re-release MEGA MAN games as often as they do Street Fighter...
Laura and Gabriel arrive in the deepest cave of the castle and... they find IGA.

I think we'd be happy if they re-released Megaman 1/4 as often as Street Fighter.

I'm much more of an X fan, I got bored of Megaman after teh first few and X brought me back into the game. So I'd like more X games... preferably before Axel, that dweeb, appeared.

Really? cool! But he tainted 7... I never managed to beat either 7 or 8 because I was utterly bored with them.

Anyway back to Street Fighter, surprisingly enough I destroyed a Ken player with T.Hawk. Not saying much though, all he was doing was spamming uppercuts. *goes back to Cody*

CONDOR DIVE CONDOR DIVE CONDOR DIVE CONDOR DIVE CONDOR DIVE

My friends tend to hate me when I pick T. Hawk. For pretty good reasons, really.
