Hey guys, I've got something really exciting for you!

I've been working on this tribute album for about a year now. It's a collection of original compositions inspired by the Castlevania series, tracks from my work on fan games, plus an orchestral arrangement of themes from Lords of Shadow. I made this album for lovers of gothic orchestra/rock hybrid music, so those who missed Yamane's touch in Lords of Shadow will rejoice!

I hope you enjoy this album, and please share it! I put a lot of effort into this, so I would love to have it heard by as many people as possible.

Cheers, and thanks for listening.

- Geoffrey Gunn.

I like the mix of influences from both Araujo and Yamane, makes it more fresh, and the instrumentation is really good. I even like some of your stuff more than Oscar Araujo's.

I remember you working on one fan game that unfortunately fell through, but have you worked on any others?

Great stuff, but Could I get a list of the original tracks used for the album so I can compair them with the originals and appreciate them more.

oh that is too awesome!
I love the album, and it bumps up a few more notches for it being original.

Dishearted Festival Sounds alot Like Hans Zimmer's work, only cause it reminds me alot of Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, I love this track!

I'm Detecting some Michiru Yamane, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, and Howard Shore, but not so much Oscar Araujo....

This album leaves me kind of undecided and puzzled. I don't know why that is. But Kamui Zero is right in that some of the music sounds like it was done by Hans Zimmer.

Religion is Man's flawed interpretation of Spirituality given back to humanity..."

Castlevania: A Tribute Album
Track by Track Review

Lords of Shadow Suite - Its all the best parts in LoS in one track!

Elcipse of War - It Definitely sounds like an Introduction, I always have images of various things like an intro, it works.

Prelude for Organ - not much to say, I feel like the story is about to unfold, its good, but words can only go so far..

Shattered Rhapsody - This literately gives me around the same feeling as Dusk's Holy Mark when it played for the first time upon entering Dracula's Castle in OoE.
Its upbeat yet the pouring emotion almost puts tears in your eyes.

Dishearted Festival - I'm gonna be honest, I love this track, Reminds me alot of Nolan's Batman movies. It has that Feel of everything is set into motion, things are building up to something big, very big.

Underground - a Mellow Tune, the imagery i put with this is an underground cave which Crystalization fills the area with vivid colors, very soothing.

Veiled Moon - This is a particularly calm piece... I feel like a calm moment is passing but with the feel that it will only last for this moment. Its assured peace for that moment.

A Different adagio - LoI-esque instrumentals, I love the build up to the Chorus Section and the slow down after it. Truly a Magnificent piece.

Requiem of the Unworthy - If Hanz Zimmer became the composer of a Castlevania game and put a setting for a Church it would sound like a rip-off of this song. Paying Homage to the baroque style as well as a Game and Theatrical Feel, this is yet another great track.

Walz of the Damned - This has alot of the Danny Elfman Elements, the ah's and the use of the Triangle like chimes into a waltz- like track that blow up into an all out piece, then sombers back down to the humble waltz. This track has a great feel to it.

Dear Yoko - The only imager I can concede is Snow, a battle, and a conflict in the same snowy environment. Calms down as well as builds up as a pretty fast rate.

Dies Irae - At the Pinnalce of Madness - It feels like the Epic Confrontation unfolding in you ears, but there is more to it... something is at sake... Must Keep going!

Elegy of Valor - The Hero is here! a Fine take that Starts like Praying Hands and puts a great twist to it, Feeling like a Michiru Yamane song, only with more "Umph!"

Toccata in a Stormy Night - Any Homage to the Great Toccata by Bach goes very high in my book, but this song spins in a completely different direction.
Its like you stand in front of your greatest adversary and the only glimpse hope is magnified to even if everything is against you, you feel you can still succeed.

Lavender Serenade - This one puts the mood of an ending where the hero succeeds and the sun is rising, after everything one can finally relax.

Elegy of Valor Repirse - Feels like the Credits Rolling with scenery of the places the hero journeyed through and a sense of closure as well as remembering the journey itself.

Lacrimosa - This number puts a number of thoughs in my mind, mostly being very hard to describe in words...

Conclusion, I really look forward to hearing ANYTHING Geoffry Gunn aka geoff429 puts out in the future, this albums is by far one of the best Original Compositions inspired by a Game or Movie. Some of the tracks better fit a movie as the others a game, a great set of tracks that can allow you to envision an adventure as well as other elements.
I give this album 5 out of 5.

this is pretty great! i like it far better than the actual lords soundtrack chiefly because it's not one uniform mishmash of notes.

I actually love the score for Lords of Shadow. I took it for what it was though; a cinematic orchestral soundtrack used to heighten the scene rather than take over it.

I'm coming out of hiding for this one. I, like GoryRory, very much enjoyed the Bloodstained Symphony when it was given to us. You do have talent, or dare I say, a gift when it comes to CV like music Geoffry. Keep it up and I really do look forward to more work by you in the future!  :)
