That meteor storm attack that Dracula does in Circle of the Moon, pretty hard to avoid at first untill I learned how o dodge it.

Death's sickle spam in any Castlevania.

Abaddon was so annoying.

The Twin Zombie Dragons, and their "random neck and head movement of doom and cheap deaths". They're my greatest challenge in CotM.

They're pretty much everyone's greatest challenge.

And they are the reason that, as much as I love the game, I haven't replayed it in years.
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

I guess it's not the worst attack ever, but in Chronicles/Akumajo Dracula X68000, Dracula does this move where he gets a big ass claw and swipes with it. It's kind of deceptive and I often get hit by it.

Maxim in Harmony of Dissonance had some really annoying attacks that can be tough to dodge.
Dracula in Order of Ecclesia sometimes used the wolf summon attack, then the purple one that you have to keep moving to dodge one after another. I always hated that.
Also, Death summoning sickles in pretty much all the games, but especially in the original and SCIV.

The Gargoyle in Bloodlines. Much rage. With the "camera" spinning all the time moving you around, it gets really tough to land hits.

Hands down the Marionette/Bloodysword combo in the Chapel Tower of CotM. First time through this area was INCREDIBLY frustrating. Especially if you're underlevelled.

Really?? Huh. I've never had much trouble, but I have to admit there's a bit of uneasiness knowing that one bad hit could knock you off. I know the Evil Tower Guardians on that game always gave me the fits, though. I'd always have trouble with the timing: I couldn't dodge their attacks and get off a hit at the same time.

Yeah tower Guardians are a very weird and annoying boss fight.
