As hilarious as this sounds I was JUST looking at Brutal Doom not 2 days earlier and thought "hmm I might try this."

I've also been playing a mod of Doom which makes it into a Rogue-like game. They have an old school version where letters are monsters, or they have a graphically advanced version with Doom sprites, but it's still played like Rogue.

Sure lots of people still play, just use Doomseeker (which should be included in your download http://zandronum.com/download ) to find online games.

Can someone tell me what IWADS do you play more often? Then I will search and train, since I never played DOOM seriously, only Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior by 3D Realms.

That modes come with the DOOM IWAD or they are for DOOM 2? I can use FreeDoom to play with you guys? I dont pretend to spend money on that but if atleast FreeDoom does the job, I will not need to visit the "har har har have some rum" guys.

edit: forget it, I already visited the bucanners lol

Wow Im impressed, since this game is ancient they can change maps and musics on the go, I've even played a Castlevania map, even a logo appears when you enter this map, pretty cool.

all modes on all Iwads, only thing that it changes is maps, but I recommend getting DOOM2 asap so you can enjoy this thing at its fullest, alternatively Doom3BFG has all the IWADS at latest versions

I just got all my Iwads from all my grandpa's Doom CDs, after all he got me into doom, hell he got me into pc gaming

Don't get the BFG edition WADs. Those are all censored to remove Nazi imagery in the hidden Wolfenstein levels and to alter medkits to have pills instead of crosses on them. The first probably being Bethesda's attempt to appease the German censorship laws which Id games had always admirably resisted, which is strange because the game had already been ruled as allowed for open distribution in Germany after over a decade of only being sellible "under the counter". The latter censorship being (so I've heard) by request of the red cross.

Not only this but the censorship was botched in such a way that it altered the WADs to make them not completely compatible with most sourceports, and not compatible in multiplayer with people using the uncensored versions of the WADs. I haven't looked, maybe someone has found a work around but it's a potential headache easily and best avoided.

They should atleast create a better way to add and talk with buddies in Doomseeker. I've seen a manage buddies option but it doesnt look to have a chat option.
