This box atleast should come with a OST CD inside (or a comic) :/

Never played more than some minutes Duck Tales 1, but I played a lot Duck Tales 2, this Moon Theme rocks.

Jake Kaufman live!
Great !!!  :)

If Castlevania doesn't return to Konami Japan I really want him to compose our next soundtrack!

That's so awesome.
I love that bit about music and how 'it can't just be cinematic' (which rings true as we discuss LoS music in CVGeneral).

Kinda makes me wish I had gone into music more professionally rather than just as a hobby... **sigh**

August 13 for PSN, eShop and Steam. September for XBoX Live Arcade. The special "boxed edition" will be sold on August 20 for PS3.

I personally consider Jake Kaufman as one of my favorite modern game composers. Not only can he compose brilliant original stuff, you can literally put him in ANY gaming situations and he can compose music for said specific game that fits it like a glove. He's like a jack-of-all-trades as far as style is concerned. I dont' know if I said this before, but he's like an American version of Naoshi Mizuta(another one of my favorite modern game composers). They have remarkable skills to analyze music and sound, decipher what is appealing with a certain song or style and compose something similar that not only fits in flawlessly with the originals but can stand as it's own.

Well, this game sucks. The controls are nowhere near as tight as in the original, pogoing just doesn't feel fun anymore, spiders don't psyche you out by moving only halfway down, and Scrooge interrupts the gameplay every 30 seconds to talk about stuff nobody cares about.

Oh, and difficult platforming segments have been dumbed down.

Wish I'd saved my $15 and just fired up the original...

Played this for a bit earlier tonight. It's Ducktales, all right. For some reason the golf swing is activated WAY too easily. Coupling this with the jump button activating the swing animation as well means wall-hugging will result in lots of unintended golf swings when you just want to jump over the shit in front of you. Also if you land too close to the edge of a block, you will go right back into standing mode rather than continuing to pogo. WHY? If I can stand there anyway, just let me continue to bounce!

It's alright. I think it sticks maybe a little too closely to the original format. Though I was never super crazy about the original (despite owning a cart of it).

Also just remembered my brother-in-law had offered me a free Steam code and I just bought the thing. Kinda wish I'd've bought Guacamelee instead and just watched the cutscenes on Youtube.

Really? I'm disappointed to read that...
I already acquired it but I still didn't have time to play it.
When I play it this weekend I will tell.
But my hopes are considerably lower now  :'(

I just realized that stuff like spider-psyching is probably in Hard mode, so I'll have to start a new game and find out. That won't fix the floaty movement, though; the main move of the game just doesn't feel very exciting to pull off anymore.

Nooooope, spider movements are still predictable.

I am enjoying it more, though. One thing I didn't notice was the default pogo action is where you press the Square button mid-air to pogo. I was pressing down like in the NES game, and I think that was messing me up. It's more fun with pogo mode set to "hard pogo" where you press down and attack to execute it.

Still not as tight as the original game, and the platforming is way super simplified, but it's fun enough to make me wanna go on. I've started skipping cutscenes because they suck anyway, and they really hamper the fun.

Beautiful graphics, great music, but my heart is reserved for the NES original.
