Duck Tales was always begging for a more Metroidvaniaish approach, and I'm not surprised Wayforward (who're in love with the genre) added a map to this game.
I remember getting Duck Tales on christmas eve in 1990. I finished the game that very same night and was afraid to tell my parents because games are expensive toys! The great thing about Duck Tales was that I kept playing it, over and over and over. I actually think this might be the game I've finished most times. We're probably talking over 30 times or something like that. The game was incredibly easy, but it's still possibly one of the greatest platformers ever made, IMO.
This remake looks.... different. But I welcome that. I'll always prefer the 8-bit look, but this should be fun anyway. Oh, and if I know Jake Kaufman right, he'll do the soundtrack justice. *holding breath for Moon theme!*
