If Nobody bought your shitty game that costs millions to make, don't charge more nor blame piracy. Just make them better or cheaper or quit making video games
I'm tired of Developers trying to make every excuse for their own faults.
If the game is good, it will sell, if not, it will have devoted buyers nontheless which grows over time
If the game is Legitimately bad, no one will buy it.
I think that is a valid point. I always hear developers whining about piracy hurting the game industry, and I don't doubt that piracy has an effect(small, but still effect) on game earnings, but I also believe the main reason why games aren't selling is just, maybe, they are shitty games that just aren't appealing. I always see these developers bitching about why people aren't buying their games, and why, at launch, they aren't doing as "well" as they hoped. I always say this to myself, "Well, maybe if you stop SUCKING, then people would buy your games!". I mean, seriously, DEVELOP GOOD GAMES if you want people to shell out the millions. It seems like, as of late, a lot of developers are trying the same old tricks on the same old crowds and a lot of people just ain't buying it like they used to. Normal logic would conclude that maybe, just maybe, it was time to change things up a bit. Bring in some new ideas or variety to test the waters and get people interested. But, we live in an age of kneepads, where everybody's afraid of taking chances, and they'd rather go down with the ship of a overplayed trend than swim to new possiblities.
I, for one, don't look forward to $70 games. I'm still iffy regarding PS4. As of now, the most I'm willing to tread via "next gen" is Wii U(which everybody knows, isn't MUCH "next gen", but that's the point, as these asshats aren't really selling me so far that their "new way" is the best way).
