It's really sad that a game can sell this much and still be considered a failure. Companies really need to think about aligning expectations with reality and start budgeting properly.
But I digress.
Well, like anyone else, Jose is entitled to his opinions. But all of these statements smack of arrogance and lack of a critical eye. And sure, you're going to be upset when people crap on your creative baby... but 7s really aren't a bad score. I'm reminded of Cliffy B's "Hate out of 10" remarks. I'm sure he'll come back to it being away for a few months and see that some things could have been done better. I find evidence for that in some parts of MoF.
As for the music, again, it's his game and he's entitled to his opinion but... well, it's kind of sad and kind of telling that he feels that way. I personally thought some of the music was a better fit for a Castlevania this time around. But there's still not enough of it and Araujo needs learn to stop worrying and love the melody.
Granted, I really enjoyed MoF for what it was. But if you want to improve, you've got to be willing to look at your mistakes.
