After all these years of bidding, they finally got it.
I hope they finish the Fukushima problem before 2020.
This would also be good for boosting tourism which is much needed there.

I would be nice to see what new projects they could build for the upcoming Olympics. Back in '64' Tokyo city had built what was called the Olympic highway. A sort of direct bypass route for those whom wanted to get to the games without causing any major congestion in the city streets. They've got about six years till the 2020 games so they might already be sitting down and planning for the next big project.

Isn't Tokyo supposed to be really overcrowded? Either way goodluck to the planners, they're gonna have their hands full for a few years.

I wonder what they'll do for their opening and closing show?

Strip teases and beaver shots -- the only opening-and-closing show!

They already did Ode To Joy (whatever that's called). They'll have to top that.
