Having quite an easier time with this game than I did the first one, and I'm not using magic at all. Either I learned well from the prequel or Dark Souls 2 really is easier.  :o

Also: I found what might be an intentional CV reference. Talk to Chloanne in Harvest Valley and one of the things she'll say after ending a conversation with her (I think after you trigger her moving to Majula) is, "Perhaps we'll meet again, if we live that long. Heh heh!" Which is extremely similar to what Maria told Alucard in SOTN during their first encounter.

This game was tough for me starting out (but maybe it's that way for the swordsman class), but it's been pretty smooth-sailing from here. First time I've went without projectiles (except under a few extreme circumstances where I'll use a bow), and I'm liking melee builds the most so far.

I just wished I knew more of the intricacies of PvP so I could win more battles. It's fun, but I kinda suck at it.  :-\ Heh, even got 1-shotted by a caster at the Belfry Sol last night.

If you are disappointed with the previews vs final, try the ENB for it. It cant replicate lost level geometry and clutter, but it can try to imitate the look and lighting.  None of that washed out shit we got handed.

It IS a wip though, and the guy making it is a dick and doesn't even like DS. So yeah.

If this DLC is nearly as good as the first game's, I'll be quite satisfied.

I bought the season pass. that DLC looks real nito.

Do you guys still play DS2 even? You were all some of the biggest hypers, what with "we have a new Castlevania, it's DS2!" But now that it's out it's barely being talked about.

Lets talk builds, mods, hacks, shitters, fun stuff, the works.

by the way, anyone know how to disable the "lens" effect in Gedosato? I hate when graphics mods use it

I'm just waiting for all 3 DLCs to be released to I can buy them all at once. Any Souls game is a huge timesink for me, so I might as well get it over with all at once.

I'm doing the same.

Also, that golem is interesting. First, it looks absolutely ugly. Second, it looks like the design was clearly inspired by the golems from King's Field.

It's the same Golems that are in the throne of want, that form the bridge from the platform to the actual throne, only reskinned to be frosty

Kind of sad to see the game end, though the graphics are definitely looking dated now.  Here's hoping Bloodborne will live up to the legacy of the Souls series.
Braun is perhaps the world's leading expert in laser weaponry, and his presence in the Kavango means that the Soviet bloc is planning some sort of laser mission.

I got into the Bloodborne alpha test. I'm so excited.
