Ummmm....SNAKE'S REVENGE?!?!  A less-than-decent, platitude-laden non-sneaking shooter game sequel to Metal Gear, a game centered on sneaking...
At least Mario 64 and Wind Waker weren't abysmal...they are often placed on favorite games lists across the internet, and are typically seen as Quality Games.

Oh I agree, it's probably my age and the fact that they were so different from the previous titles. I don't consider them abysmal by any means, I just don't find that they carry on the same feel and draw me in like the other titles in their respective serie did and still do. They are like totally diff. games that stand really well on their own, but taken as part of the mario and zelda series they come across to me as black sheep (like many people see Zelda II). Mario 64 especially seemed like to me as a way for nintendo to just present the N64's capabilities and seems like they didn't put as much care into the gameplay aspect as the previous and future titles (so far) and keeping the gamer enthralled with the game. My best friend loves Mario 64 but even he admits that he can only play it for a few hours at a time before it becomes repetetive and he has to do something else or pop in a diff game. I remember spending the entire summer of 1990 playing Mario 3 and all of my winter break playing mario world in 1992.

Sequels I just can't get into:

Wind Waker
Super Paper Mario

Zelda: Minish cap

too many dead ends and vague clues.

Halo 2 and 3.

Lol...wow! You hate Halo 2 & 3? Since when??

-sarcasm-

And I'd have to say Metroid Prime 2.

Zelda: Minish cap

OMG dude, minish cap is one of the best zelda titles ever. I recommend going to Gamefaqs and looking up how to get past the area that has you stuck cuz I feel bad that your missing out on this awesome experience. The difficulty is crazy and took me 5 games to beat it. (mind you I've pretty much mastered the zelda bird's eye view aspect of play). I'm sure it probably took others who hadn't spent countless hours playing the original and ALTTP a lot longer. Some of those bosses were insane. The main boss had 3 forms and took around 200 hits to kill total!

I bought the Wind Waker just to get the Ocarina of Time + Master's Quest disk. I thought it would be stupid as hell but I thought it turned out amazing. I got a sea chart on the wall next to me.

Yeah the master quest was mega fun and I loved how the dungeons were more challenging and some of the bosses were tougher to kill. I just wish they would have made Ganon harder he's a freakin' pussy. Ganondorf took more skill to kill than the power of the triforce of power.  :P

Didn't they make the Water Temple a lot easier in the Master Quest version?

I remember breezing through it with no trouble at all.

I don't think it was easier though I beat it pretty quick cuz I knew where everything was. I think if I were playing it for the first time it would probably be about the same as the regular OOT one.

The thing about the water temple in master quest, is that I ended up with an extra key. It was weird as hell so I went through every room 3 more times but I couldn't find another door to unlock. I talked to someone else and they had an extra key too. odd.

It's not a bad game (I think) but as a sequel to the original Final Fantasy tactics FFT Advance fell short of the mark for me.
I did spend a lot of hours with it though.

I second that. The gameplay was good...i actually like the law system. however, i had played through a majority of FFT the story in advanced looked like garbage. I had to put the game down because it was not intriguing enough.

Wait... Did someone on the first page seriously knock Mega Man ZX? AND WITHOUT EVEN PLAYING IT????

That game seriously rocks somethin' fierce.

Oh, and Banjo-Tooie is a downright terrible and messy sequel to what I consider to be one of the absolute best 3D platformers ever made.

What!? Megaman ZX kicks ass. Sure the graphics are strange but the gameplay is phenomenal.
