I would choose the Bull Whip clan for myself, yet I'd rather play a Broadsword in this game.  I'll always prefer a whip in a Castlevania game, but Bloodstain isn't a Castlevania game, it's a spiritual successor to Symphony, so I think a sword would be more appropriate.  Digging the stain glass sword in the artwork.

sorry for the second post, but i had a question and it's been a little while since the last post.  how do you find out what clan you're assigned to, i think i was a little confused before.  are we just saying what clan we would want to use when putting our names on the credits, or is it something assigned to us when we make a pledge?  i upgraded from the $60 to $125 tier so I could also get a digital copy and expected to be asked to choose a clan, but nothing happened.  nothing happened at the swordorwhip.com site either.

In Sword or Whip website, if you play it for a while voting in the same weapon IGA will assign you to a clan, but this clan that you can choose for the Kickstarter pledge doesnt have anything to do with this, you can choose any clan and we don't know yet for what. Also like all KS goodies, you will be asked after the campaign ends AFAIK.

oh thanks for the clarification.  i voted maybe five times over several occasions, guess i'll have to vote some more.

update:  all right, after switching back in forth between the sword i want to play in the main game and the whip i want to play in classic mode, i voted a bunch more for the sword and got Paimon the Persistent.  earlier though, i had only voted for sword before i knew about classic mode.  then i got clan rapier, which is too bad, i don't play well with rapiers (wanted the Broadsword).  alas, i can't change my vote in this poll...

If you fall in a unwanted clan, you can "betray" it by choosing the opposite weapon one time. Then you can return to choosing swords and see in which clan you will be.

yep, i was kicked out by selecting whip again, but went right back to rapier again.  guess i could repeat the process.  or just enjoy being in clan Rapier.

had to google what a cat o nine tails was.  nasty little whip.  don't recall ever seeing one in a castlevania game before, it'll be interesting to see how it's used in this game.
