Hi i wanted to post this up..for a number of reasons.  For one....myself and teamates..have had a number of really cool ideas for a game...and though i am not able to fully code a game in myself yet..i am going to be working more towards learn gml in the future in game maker studio. I have learned some stuff so
far..and am moving forward..i can now do 3d primtives. However..i felt it was high time..that i started posting up ideas..because while i like to keep some things secret..it maybe next to impossible to do so without having someone else snag our ideas. No it is not anyone's fault..i dont want to be angry at anyone or blameful..these things happen I understand. It seems uncanny at times,however..the things i want to do in a game..only at times to see it end up in someone else's game. morever even more uncanny basically identiacally to how i'd do it. Thier is no explanation for why this occurs..perhaps that saying is true great minds think alike. However..i noticed when i do something after even if i had the idea first..i will get called out for stealing..when in reality i didnt cause i previously had the idea..and it's not fair..to me or my mates.

This has been the occasion in all 3 games..i would liek to be a part of though none are complete. Our team did want to be part of a SCV2 aswell...which someone has given me a startup engine i can view from. At anyrate..i know this sounds ridiculous..but this has happend now a number of times..maybe 10 or so..so i feel it's necassary to lay out ideas or groundwork. ahead of time.  If anyone would liek to know the number of times..this has happened..i can give an exact detailed list of when and were in someone's game...though
clearly i am not pointing the blame at anyone..i'm merely stating that i dont want to the finger pointed back at me either.

Main Concept:
Core concept of SOTN2(we'll call it for now): POC..is a metroidvania...similar to that of sotn..but with a

number of changes and twists. I think it's safe to say that we may not have the upside down castle..then again..i can't rule anything out either. I think it's too done by now as cool as it was.

The Characters:
Ricther Belmont- main hero
Annette Renard- main heroine
Maria Renard- main heroine
Secret character(unlocked)Alucard.

Obviously as stacked as we wanted SCV3 to be..this game is going to the gran daddy of our team's stashed games if i can code it all in eventually.. We really want to beef this up epecially...which is why each character would have their own set of weaponry,skills,skill level, armor, magic skills, and various weaponry pertaining only to them and not other players.

I think what we can do is post ideas,concepts, and art for the project..any ideas that pertain to the project

by others will defintly be considered. Not only i, Reiko, jOp and Also Retro had had some really nice ideas. I hate to have to explain the whole game and all the levels..but i feel where i am at..i have little choice but to reveal things..due to the nature of waht has been happening.This may take some time to fill in so i'll add updates..but eventually i want to layou out at least some original ideas..may not put them all down.

All characters will have some moves you have to perform attacks with by combo's on the d pad. Such as richter's super jump down up and jump like in sotn.

Some characters will have combo moves from these..but they will be limited.

Players(player ideas or concept subject to change):

Ricther Belmont- He uses a whip as his primary weapon(meaning only he can use this) all from POR and
custom ones too. He will not have any familar id's. He will have ability to use heavy weaponry,normal
swords, stab swords,samurai,clubs, projectiles like guns,samuari swords, pole arms, hand to hand combat,shields, and whip swords... IN addiation he will have use of Fire magic.
Richter xtra moves:
-rising sommersault kick...similar to that of guiles
-wall jump kick. Like in double dragon 3 he can jump off of walls and kick back at the enemy.
-he will have round house kick like in that of double dragon style.
- he will still have power jump and power slide
- he will have use of item crashes( differn this time though)
- he will still various attacks for differnt sword swings for various weapons. We have some custom ones.
-he will be able to kick downward at enemies like alucard..annette can aswell.
-at some point and somewhere in the game..richter will get bit by a werewolf..and he can now transform inot an out of a werewofl. However..he must find a serum(or kill the werewolf who bit him) to get himself
normal by some point or he'll be tranasform fully. I am not sure with him and annette's vampirical form...but the game may end their..or it may have a differnt ending..not sure yet.


Annette Renard- She uses cyrstal ball as her primary weaponry(meanng only she can acess this)Their are various ones she can usei may make them so you can level up..She like ricther and alucard can use all other weaponry exacpt the heavy swords..as she cannot lift them over her head.. She was set to have black magic..but i may make her have some other form. She will have use of  Wind and Water magic. She will have use of familiar id's:
Annette xtra moves:
-she'll have chun  li style rapid kicks..i may do tha for richter too(unsure)
-She will do a hand rising twirl attack like princess zelda..but gypsy like..followed by a sharp kick.
-she can properl her self off an enemy with her legs twist similar to that of sonia in MK.
- she can dor a cartwheel(similar to what i am doing with grant)
-she can do a evade where she dissapears and re-appears to a destination
- she can do summon attacks with her crystal ball.
- she can use bow and arrows moves.
-at some point..Annette simlar to rondo will get bit by a vampire and likewise she must find a serum(or kille the vampire) to counteract her poison and turn her back to normal or she'll be e full fledge vampriess.

Maria Renard- her gameplay will be differnt from the other 3..she will merely use her animals..but have a level up system as will Richter, Annette and Alucard. So her main weapons will be her animals or her hand

to hand combat. However in addition she can carry a cross bow which you can level up and have various versions of. She will have use of Earth Magic. Her animals will be more towards what was in rondo not sotn but they will have more moves to help her like that of Hectors id's and more powerful. They can levle up aswell.
Maria:
- I haven thought her up too much other than costume.. She of course can use a crossbow and her animals. She can jump kick downward, and jump triple jump where as the other players can only double jump.


Alucard Von Tepes: His primarely weapons that only he can access will be alucard things..like his spear, his shield,alucard sword..and all weaponry richter uses accept the whip..and he can use shields.. He will have use of Black magic or Dark Arts magic(which he can level up). He will have use of Id's aswell:
Alucard:
Leg stomp-he'll do a leg stomp  like that similar to ganondorph
-he will have some extra moves eh can do from dark arts magic( and yes one levle will be dark arts academy). He will of course have implode ball move where he does sorat a haouduken and holds,shaking
from strength and blast forward with a slow moving implode ball..it is like a grenade timed so when it goes off it sucks everything into a vortex into hell or whatever..
- he will have another move where he does a triangular dark matter move..this will enimated various beams

from the spinning triangle which cause enemies to explode upon impact.
-he of course will have his normal moprhs wolf,bat and mist forms, i may make one more form..like a spider or something..i dunno yet.


Jop suggested we make a blacksmith inventory..meaning you can take irons and such and other items..and
mesh them into weapons..i am very much up for this idea to craft weaponry.

The game will have shops in certain locations as well. If it is in the castel..alucard will get discounts.

Certain players will have their own custom movesets for certain things. For exampl with hand to hand combat..all may have a kick/punch combo like the old richter had...but some will be differnt. Morever though there is a pletehru of weaponry we'll use from Dos,POR, and basically everythign in sotn/nitm..we'll also add

our own original onesl

Just some New weaponry ideas(below i have a txt file with all the rest):

1. grappleing hook. This can be used as a weaponry or to hook someone onto something.
2. Richter can use his whip likek indy and swing from certain spots..other players will have to find other means to pass over.
3. Gandolph's staff. This will be very powerful and in the clubs section. When weiled it can absorb differnt players magic..and be used in combination with that magic to produce powerful spells.
4. Excalibur(sword in the stone)- this will be a sword in the stone similar to that in AoS...but newere and overhand attack.
5. Emerald) sword- this will be a glowing sword which produces gems, which can be traded or crafted. Only after defeating a certain number of enemies does differnt size gems drop.
6. Zion Blade-Strikes with mountainous strength. Creates rumbling earthquakes, and shockwave that devast nearby enemies.
7. Lighting bain- WHen used..it draws lighting from sky only when magic is filled..then  becaomes glowing with electricity.. you can use it to shock and harm enemies.
8 Blood sword( a normal sword): this sword will drip with blood..after a certain amount of time and blood drips..it will produce blood skeletons that will help you fight.
9.Devaster- A very strong overhand weapon..so strong..you cannot were armor,boots or any other gear with it..will automaticlly raise your strength ..but decrease your defense. Very powerful.
10. Monde Pellier- Sword that shoots vapor trails from it(an image of it self will shoot across the screen at enemy like a projectile). Similar to sword shot in zelda.
11. Ivy's whip sword..the strongest of teh whip swords..it can extent as far as a whip can and puncture enemeis through the ground like ivy.
12. masa & mune swords.  Twin hand blades held at the same time.They can be used like double samurai swords...The players will have differnt moveset like the move used in the gladiator style.
13. Light saber,Light sabers,dual blade- well..it's not original..but what the hell..in cv that'd be sick..sword like isaac lazer sword..just think of it like that.
14. Sword of Slogra-A sword molded of metal and bone from a slogra beast beak.15.  Portal Sword - this sword allows the user to not only attack..but when they have enough magic..to cut a hole into the air and go through a dimensional portal..either warping them about to differnt locations on the map or into differnt dark realms.(simialr to warp points doors in sotn..but you must have enough magic
to use it).


In addition all the  whips from POR were added as well like including some customs:
1. Lazer whip- a whip wield by none other than the legendary trevor belmont....if you look around you may find this elsewhre....lol Pesonally i want it to be similar to that of johny nuemonices flopping lazor whip.
2Helio WHip-A whip said to be forged by Angels. Increases defense during daylight.
3.Lunar Whip-When equipped this mighty whip increases nightly defense.
4.Rose whip- thorny whip that hurts enemies..dunno if por had that.
5. Healing whip- when used..it gains health for the players
6. Medusa whip- turns enemies to stone(dunno if this is alreay in Por or not)
7.Magic whip- this can be enhanced when used with magice for Richter..it can do things such as gain
magic health back..or cast devasting spells on enemies..
8.Poison Tip whip- A whip with a poisonous tip doused in scorpion venom. Poison..and drains enemies

health.

New SHield concepts:
1.Belmont Crest Shield only used by Richter.
2.Tiger Lily Shield only able to be used by Annette.
3.Alucard  Sheild used by only Alucard
4. Elvinkind Shield
5. Woodland shield(nitm)
6.  Headless horseman shield

Annette's crystal balls(annette only)
1.Lumainaire
2.Dark Matter
3.Thundra
4.Inferno
5.Frostbite
6.Gaia
7.Zephyr
8.Drago
Morever their will be a day night system like that of cv2 aswell so these weapons will know when to work better.many of the main weapons willbe their like death sythe,claim solias,  heaven swords, chakram,

shotel,crissagream..which all can use that use swords..frost blade,fireblade..etc so on so forth.
Some overhand weapons and others will have a combo or extra feature to them.

IN addition to the player moves..all players(execpt alucard with a special  item) will be able to swim. yes we will make swiming sprites...It's possible the player can attack underwater..but i't'll have to be formulated so that they can swim and attack..not stand on the ocean floor and attack. MOre over their will be more

10. Berith(Kinda a knight on on a horse with a spear)

Level idea concepts:(3 sections: 1 outside areas,2 inside castle, 3 in dark hellish realms through portals)
I will post an update at some point with the storyline if need be to explain dark realms. I wont give away too much at this time..but there is an Academy of Dark Arts, a SHipyard(Port Royal style level), and Dark Twin Towers levels. I am not positive i will keep the game mostly in a castle..seeing how collecting of artifacts is important. I may have the game be around the globe..
