I'm cool with remakes as long as they are like the Drac X chronicles remake and are only a diff. take on the original game. don't really care for remakes that are meant to replace the original game. (like the remade sw trilogy)

btw. the game would've looked better if it really looked like those beta shots they posted there. The lower resolution made it look much worse.

Wow, it looks nothing like those screens.
The graphics are SO tiny. At least on my phone (Sony Ericsson w880i).

What do y'know, I have the same phone! I think...

Anyway, I also bought OoS, and I regret nothing! Almost... I don't think the game was total crap. I think the death animation where Death appears was awesome and the frequent references to LoI were pretty cool.

this is how it looks on a normal cellphone (minus the font and lifebars, those are larger), in the official playable version on the maker's page and inside the files.

if your phone's picture is this large you have some weird phone there. it's display would be bigger than a ds screen, that resolution looks more like a pocket pc than a cellphone.

On my phone it's even smaller than that, Desmond is about half the size of that sprite. It looks like it's zoomed out or something... Also, it doesn't fill the entire screen so that may have something to do with it. There are fat black borders at the top and bottom.

I don't really get what you mean exactly. You mean like the same game but looks diffferent? I'm all for any kind of changes as long as it doesn't make it worst.

I think the person meant that they like 'faithful' remakes: the ones that are pretty much the exact same game, just a few tweaks that make it better, like graphics or minor tweakage. (Like the remake of Kirby Super Star on the DS that's coming out.)

But if they make a 'remake' that, while slightly like the original, are mostly very different (they omit this, change a lot of that...), then they're not liked as much.

And in certain cases, I agree.

Yup that's what I meant I like remakes that improve on the first game and have someone else's own touches but aren't made like George lucas likes to do as  replacements for the original game.

What are you talking about?  240x320 is almost a standard resolution for most phones in the past year or so. Those pictures are how it looks on those phones.

maybe in moonland where they have those weird vodaphone things that are more like handhelds now than phones to talk. here in europe the standard cellphone screen size is 120x160.

and guess what, the official version of the game on the official site no less also has the same scale of the sprites, so if you really have such huge phone it's probably resized+filtered. prove me wrong, do a dump of the game from your awesome phone and pm the file so I can hack it to compare the content.
