I told you all, she looks straignt out of some Korean MMORPG. I could tell that by the original screen bust from the leaked pictures. But, she doesn't look anime. If anything, she looks more comic-book inspired.

Aha!

This new glyph system is a big gamble imo, namely because it puts a limit to using common physical attacks, and I'm concerned that there might be only one type of glyph for a sword, for a shield, for whatnot, and leaving it to combining with the second glyph to come up with a different sword to use.  In other words, having a sword without being able to use any subweapon as backup.  In even more words, being way too dependent on magic through the whole game.  Hearts are separate from magic again, but I'm concerned that skills/magic will consume from both gauges this time, which is a pretty hefty requirement.  As long as I can attack the way I'd like to and be able to find a huge collection of weapons to wield like CVs of the past I'll find reason to like this.  Everything else looks great.

The heart meter is seperate from your MP bar. This means sub-weapons use does not affect your MP. So you can have whichever two glyphs you choose on top of a sub weapon.

I really like the idea that doubling up the same glyph makes for a faster or stronger weapon. Symphony's dual-wield never made sense because there was no such benefit from doing it (other than having two different types ready). Finally we have proper dual-wielding. I'm really excited for this aspect actually.

Well, what they actually where is boring and not sexy in any way.

That's not necessarily true: right around this period was where women started wearing low necklines and bustiers, but I'm still irked by the fact she's supposed to be part of a holy order and wears THAT. And furthermore while ROB's and SOTN's costmes might not have been century specific either, they found a better middle ground than this. This supposed cover box art screams too much of the future era Castlevania designs. Probably cuz same artist/artists.

It looks nice, but doesn't feel right. Thankfully, her sprite tones the style down some.

That picture almost feels like Trigun character design.

Yeah, but the real clothes of the time are boring, probably hard to fight in, and would have all of our characters looking like stuck-up, ol British snobs(not to insult all British people of course, just the ancient ones, like King George III).

And yes, it doesn't feel right, but I still like it. For some reason that "box art" is reminding me of the Disney movie "Mulan". Can't imagine why though...

which part of the storyline that was recently revealed say it's holy?

Quote
Dracula and his armies still thrive, so it's up to mere mortals to face off against the legendary vampire on their own. Thus, the Order of Ecclesia was born.

Made up of the most proficient magic users in the world, the Order of Ecclesia harnesses magical elements in the world known as "glyphs."

it's just all powerful magic. and the church usually detests magic.

Coulda sworn I saw 'holy' mentioned somewhere. But maybe I'm wrong.

...Hello new sig and/or avatar.   ;D

I was suppose to say something profound here. I don't 'do' profound so much as ramble so...whatever. Here lies text. Congratulations for reading it.  You were as bored as I am. Seriously, stop reading, you can't be that bored.  Still here? Really?  You officially are my new favorite person and now are owed one internet cookie. Don't eat it though, it gives you bad gas.

I leave for a while and I miss everything. ::)

From what I've seen, I'm definitely interested in the game.

I'm very curious to find out what happened to the Belmonts and this story as a whole.  As always, I can't wait to hear the soundtrack.  Great artwork direction this time around (DS game wise), and the overall new system called "Glyphs" sounds pretty interesting.  I'm kinda seeing 'replay value' when I hear about it.  Then the mention of 20 stages, mostly (or so far) being outside the actual castle and the fact that it has a very Simon's Quest feel makes me want the title more.

I refuse to bitch about the reused sprites and such cause honestly, it's 'beating the dead horse' issue.

Kinda off topic: Want me to make your sig and such MaddiChan?

Hell yeah!  ::Kinda already maybe sent a PM to you about that...maybe...::  Thanks!

On Topic:
I'll admit, when I first heard about the outside areas, I immediately thought of PoR and how the last for portraits were pretty much rearranged rehashes of the first four.  This game sounds far more promising, so heres hoping all 20 new areas are erm...different.  :D

I'm tired to hearing the same bitching over and over again about how the character looks or why a female character, about the game play and the recycled sprites and blablabla................ :P

This new castlevania is looking far more better than the two previous ones like it or not!
