This info has been taken from DS Fanboy!!

IGA reveals the extra modes in Ecclesia: a hard mode accessible by completing the game, and a mode with a higher (255) level cap unlocked by beating that hard mode -- or by connecting Judgment on the Wii with Order of Ecclesia.

So, that means that the 255lv cap is a different mode from the main mode, so chances are here that it will have enemies and bosses with more HP and even harder. Also you don't need to connect it with wii to unlock it!!

I haven't read it on previous pages, except from that you can unlock the 255lv cap by connecting OoE with Judgment. I haven't read anywere mentioning that the 255lv cap is a different mode from the main!!

well that's interesting.  i was figuring that a higher level cap would mean an easier game (and was quite confused why they would do that).  i hadn't considered that a higher level cap might mean an excuse to make the game even harder.

The enemies might be stronger, but so will your character. I don't see how this 255lv cap will change anything. As a matter of fact, it sounds completely useless.

Then again, I hardly ever play through a game more than once before I toss it out, so unlockables like this one was never for me anyway.

I know for a fact I posted that on CoR, and possibly here. Odd.
Anyways, either way, I'm curious how the new level cap will effect the game. More overpowered enemies? Bosses placed everywhere?
Hopefully, that won't be the only Judgment-induced unlockable

I would rather have an extra character with a story as a bonus.  I know some people like the hard modes, but personally it doesn't hold my attention to play the same thing over with no real pay off.  I also see throwing in a hard mode is doing the very least amount of work for a "bonus".  The only worse bonus would be to play as Richter...again.

It seemed like most fans enjoyed the extra storyline and playable characters in the Julius mode of DoS.  And even though it could have been done a bit better, the Sisters mode in PoR was entertaining enough and had it's own storyline at least.  I don't see why it would be that big of a deal to come up with some scenes for Albus and have us play through as him after we beat the game.

Maybe in the 255 mode there will be some new optional bosses. Maybe even new stages. That'd be awesome, but again you wouln't really neet 255 levels for that.

I wonder if we will be able to take the first boss down barehanded with one hit on lv 255.

God knows how long it took to reach lv 99 in PoR. I think I killed 3000 minotaurs or something to gain the last 20 levels or so. Which was good for maxing out all the skills, and getting LOADS of cash by selling those axes that the minotaurs drop. But it was sooo boring!

Though I admit it was even worse in DoS with the Demon Guest House and that one particular Iron Golem (or whatever his name was) you could kill for massive experienze! (Except it wasn't massive at all)

Having said that, I don't know if I would ever try reaching lv 255 in any Castleroid. Unless there are some FUN, challenging enemies to kill. And some variety.
