Castlevania is serious business.

Oh have I insulted someone for saying that thinking a fat baker villager in OoE was somehow Aeon from Judgement, is a stupid belief?

Yea because stupidity should be accomodated?

I'm sorry but unless there is a 200lb difference between the styles, that baker is not Judgement Aeon.

It's insulting to think IGA would even think about doing something that stupid.
Maybe he hates Obata. It is simply a bit too ridiculous.

The stuff of joke topics if anything.

If you had read carefully, you would have seen my explanation about that. The idea of that fat baker being Aeon is ridiculous because... HE ISN'T. He seems to be just some guy who can give you an explanation about other villagers. Either that OR the player was just looking at his profile, but has the cursor on the one of Aeon already, so he has yet to push a, to come to Aeons profile.

The idea of making two different characters named Aeon at a time in two different games would be even more dumb than the idea of putting Aeon in the two games.

Er...um...well, if I said something rude or untoward to anyone in this thread (Aziela or otherwise) I apologize.

I, myself, am not sure that Aeon actually is in OoE. Far be it from me to declare that *any* character will be in this game when I haven't even played it yet! However, all I'm saying is that it's *possible* for Aeon to be in this game. He doesn't even have to be the fat baker either, as Erimocard pointed out, it's probably he's someone else entirely.

In any case, let's not argue about it, and I again apologize if I said anything out of place. Back on topic...

A lot of you guys pre-ordered from Gamestop, right, prunyuu~? We do get a little extra something for pre-ordering it, don't we? I asked the guys there at a gamestop nearby and they said I'd get a bit of "schwag"...I dunno what, exactly, that entails, unyuu~T_T

Look a few pages back. They translated each of the OoE profiles from the official Japanese site. It's there where they discovered:

1. That his name is Kokkion.

2. That his role(as each villager has different roles) is to tell Shanoa which villager missions she has yet to complete.

We all know he isn't Aeon(that was something people got confused with earlier when we first seen the screenshot with the highlighted name "Aeon" and his picture shown). If anything, since they website profiles were translated, most of use got past that, though obviously there are a few late comers, as seen by more than a couple of people a few posts back, who still think the fat jolly man to be named "Aeon".

And while the true identity of OoE's Aeon is still up in the air, I agree with Erimocard. Having more than one Aeon would be a little to farfetched. Why EVEN name him that, if that's the case. Aeon, if anything, isn't really a name someone names their child. Also, there are plenty of OTHER names one CAN name their characters. Why specifically Aeon? Though, as it is, I'm not to fond of it even in Judgement. That name sounds better suited for a Final Fantasy game hero than a CV character. What, the next CV game is going to have a character named "Extreme"? :D

There even ARE aeons in final fantasy. In ffX, that is. The summons there are called aeons.

Well the thing is that fat guy is indeed who is being represented by the name "Aeon".

I think it may be a bad localization.

See Aeon and this fat guy share the same last characters in their names, "イオン".

However the Judgement Aeon is proceeded by only one character.

While the OoE fat guy has a bit more, the names are not identical but for some reason his name was localized as Aeon in the screenshots depicting the korean version.

I think the OoE fat guy is supposed to be called "Ian". The other characters of his name maybe a title which could be transliterated as "cook".

Hmmm...you may be right, Aziela. Wouldn't be the first time a Castlevania game's received a somewhat iffy localization...remember in SoTN, where Cthulu was named Malachi and Malachi was named Cthulu! X_X;;;

Oh no, there's another villager whose name is already taken!  It's Laura the jeweler.  She must really be that servant of Carmilla who came with Aeon to infiltrate this poor village!

(don't flame me yet, the game hasn't been released yet)

Yes I figured.  If you look at all the other villager's names--well they're proper names.  Aeon just comes out of nowhere.  It has to be a bad localization, as I guessed earlier in the thread.  That or they took some creative liberty, for whatever reason.
