I think it doesn't because he (IGA) can easily put them in the story. If he could connect Bloodlines with the other games why couldn't he also do that with CotM? Nothing in that game conflicts with IGA's canon.

The other similarity between all four games it that they, you know, irreconcilably contradicted the established continuity.

They even contradicted each other. Legacy of Darkness even retconned CV64.

Maybe I am the only one who noticed, but I never heard IGA (or more precisely the translator) say that he hated the Wii. He just said that swinging the Wiimote as a whip would get tiresome after a while (coming to think about it, Twilight Princess did something like this, and it wasn't tiresome, it was really fun, but whatever). Brawl has three different controller modes. What I believe IGA said was: "If I'm going to make Castlevania on the Wii, I won't be using motion based controls, or if I do, I'll give another gameplay option."

Well Legacy of Darkness was meant to be the final product; whereas Castlevania 64 they were never happy with. That's why they released LOD in the same freakin year.

Still hard to believe that.

Not any new info for the new games, from this interview, but at least IGA has accepted he's failure over the 3D castlevania games.

what!! failure!!, I love both 3d castlevania games the gameplay kicks ass and I love Cod's rpg elements. They are both great games, the only thing I don't like is in LoI the plot could have been better but both games were awesome.

The level design in those games do not kick ass.

This is what he is admitting to.

hunh? Maybe I misheard that part. I thought he said he was pissed off at himself because of the 3d games in general, because he thinks they could have been better and he could have done more. I don't remember hearing about level design, though I have selective hearing and I may have just missed that part.

No he didn't state it exactly like that, but that is the overwhelming flaw the fans are screaming about.

I doubt he consideres the good controls and the decent action systems a failure -- I know I don't.

If he can just make the castle feel like a Castlevania castle should...

I dunno Serio, the only game you really like is SotN, and that's the only one IGA personally worked on.

Oh good god. I read through this thread, and the only thought that crosses my mind is: What the hell is wrong with you people?

CoD and LoI had an excellent gothic atmosphere. I like their overall moods; I prefer CoD to DoS personally. You can't beat Walter's charisma or Issac's insane glee.

Well ID/Weapon raising and Trevor were cool. Garibaldi Temple was pretty, Baljhet KINDA felt like a mountain... Wyvern was easy but he sure looked nice.

Soundtrack is only 2nd to Symphony's.

Otherwise not much else to say.
