does anyone have some nice crisp clear ok, good sotn dracula teleport sounds? or a good sotn sound rip, anapans are too low quality for the job and i can't clean them up, looking for castlevania sounds now, perferably rondo and sotn

anapan's are direct rips. you can't get better than that, though you can probably filter it. psx filters the sounds, that's why they seem to be better in game than in rips.

his are only 11khz tho, i thought there would be higher ones unless the ps1 only could handle that at a time for the XA sounds/music and if i adjust the khz to 22 or 44, it sounds distorted hmm i'll work with what i got

the original game's sound effects range from 6 khz to 16 or so. the xa was only used for music and voiceovers during cutscenes, and could only play one track at a time.

the psx itself or the game's code probably upsamples and filters the sound effects with some anti noise and lowpass/highpass change filters.

ah well once all the ambient sounds are in place i'm sure no one will really notice, not when the battles are as fast paced or if not faster then curse of darkness fights
