Why is it you always know things nobody knows plottwist?
I think a good share of people knew that, but I have also obsessively pored over every bit of Castlevania that I could to understand why some stuff is the way it is. You're not too shabby either, dude

And it takes keen eyes. Despite me saying above that a good share of people knew that, MOST people don't. Most people don't give credit to continuity details that Castlevania does. It's all over the place in this series. Not mentioning people obliterating Dracula with consecutive Hydro Storms before he can pull off this move. So they end up not even seeing this.
It's an amazing feeling to discover this stuff, it really improves the love for the entire series. So, congrats
and I agree -- the canon is too strong here.
