it makes sense companies start to make their own battle royale game.  just like Street Fighter II inspired legions of developers to this day to make their own version of the concept, as well as FFVII making cinematic RPGs mainstream, inspiring lots of companies,  and genres as old as Metroid's inspiring the creation of games like Castlevania SOTN,  it makes sense for more developers to create new battle royale games. which is a good thing, the genre is refreshing, easy to pick up and play, intense, unpredictable, has a team version of itself, and a very enticing sport to play overall, whether casual or hardcore.  it has lots of qualities like skill based gunplay, open world travel, survival elements, more rewarding victories, lots of challenge, camraderie qualities, and more.

haha, and Fortnite Battle Royale already got 1,000,000+ players the first day overall, and its confirmed more polished than PUBG.

though they should add character select and cosmetics ASAP.   

I dont think they should add vehicles until they add maps that are like two times larger.
