Hi all,

I'm the author of Castlevania Tears of Pain who is currently developped. If you've any questions about the game, i'm here (seems that my sign in took a lot of time to be approved by the system).
Nice to have you aboard.

Check out some of the contests we started.

Also, nice to have another MMF2/2.5 user here. If I can be of any help via resources, or advice etc. let me know!

Be sure to check out my Vamprotector thread for my fan-game as well!

We are having trouble with spammers and the system for emails is slow. Thanks for being patient.
But most importantly...

This, my friend, is an example of a Japanese emoticon.

Welcome to the dungeon flane67! Just a question; If this game is about the demon castle war of 1999 why call it Tears of Pain? This sounds like a title you'd associate with a more personal story of few individuals overcoming personal loss or trauma, not an entire war against evil. I'm just trying to understand is all  :-\

Thank you all for your welcome.

Tears of Pain is referred to Dracula. He'll disappear in this episode and he'll not be seen as a simple villain who wants the end of the world for bad reasons. His life will be an essential part of the story. The lost of his beloved, his link with the Belmont family, etc...

About the game: 20 stages planned with the city for the first stage. A part of the game is outside the castle, the other part is inside. Multiple ways to reach Dracula (you'll have to restart the game to find secret passage for alternatives path/levels). Possibility to start the game at a level reached. Checkpoints during levels but start at the beginning of the level if the player lose all of his lives. Secondary weapons with hearts and magics with crystals. One of the three magics can be used only when the player reach 100% of magic. Treasure chest hidden in stage and can be displayed by crouching. Missions (or achievements) available "reach score", finish levels without be damaged, etc...

The difference between Alucard and Julius:

Here some new screens

You can listen here the music composed by me for the menu. It's a remix of Midnight Sonata

I approve all of this!

Wicked music for the menu. I am already digging the feel of this title...

Interesting choice for the music. Moonlight Sonata right? Checked out you new screens as well. The only one that was a little off-putting was Julius' face. A bit too feminine for a dude  :-\  Even Ayami Kojima's original art made him more of a man then that (and it wasn't just the goatee either). But otherwise good job and don't quite;)

You should put Alucard back in his suit.

Or you could put Alucard in an entirely new outfit. I have to wonder how well he would look wearing Kevlar. Since it's 1999 modern body armor would be the way to go.

Why would Alucard need body armor?

Ditto on the suit/new outfit. But no to the kevlar.
