Topic: So, I keep hearing about this $400 PS3

I think it will, I might have read something about it not having software emulation... but I'm not so sure about that. I think the 40 will have software emulation though.

However... I got the swedish press release yesterday, and it says there will be no BC at all. Thing is, we've only had software emulation from the very beginning, so why would they even say that if it didn't mean that from now on, PS2 games on a PS3 is history?

I hope I'm reading it wrong, or that it's some kind of typo...

Why would anyone need backwards compatibility, though.  I mean, we all have Ps2's, and if you don't...whyyyyyy?

My Ps2 is dying, and my other is dead, the only reason I got 2 is cuz I my borther repaired someone eles and they moved away while he did it >.>

Both of my friend's ps2 is dead. And no he doesn't mod.Not to mention people sell their old ps2.

So yea, thats why.

Hey kale, just import yourself a Japanese or NTSC 60gb and you've got full BC.

nah.... I can't seem to tell myslf to waste that much money on a system with only a couple of games I want. Not to mention around here, its 500 for teh 60gb, its not out around here yet.
