Not really underrated, but went unnoticed (what few reviews it did recieve were very high), but this game DEMANDS a stateside release, and America doesn't show this series enough love in general:

YS ~ THE OATH IN FELGHANA ~

A remake of "Ys 3" only it wipes the floor with that game completely. Unforgettable nonstop old-school action mixed with simple but fun RPG character development -- not to mention one of the most professional and fully-realized soundtracks in the history of gaming. Bosses are ruthless and there are many of them. Art is beautiful and story simple but very effective.

A true action RPG masterpiece that should put Falcom's name on the map. Now that there's an amazing English fan translation, there's no excuse not to experience this looked over gem.

This game tramples YS 3 into the past where it belongs, yet it's very faithful to the original regardless. It's the truest vision of that outing in the YS universe, and it's by far the finest "Ys" to date.

It's seriously one of my favorite games of all time.

I wrote a review for it and gave it a 9.5/10.

SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT! (This amazing trailer says it all)

Well, I really do remember a Mickey Mouse game for the Genesis...I think the plot went that some witch or something kidnaps Minnie and Mickey goes out packin' heat to get his broad back.
Yep, thats the one.

wat

The controls are kinda quirky but I still thought it was fun (has one of the hardest bosses ever). I still wanna try Kunoichi/Nightshade, the sequel/spinoff.
It wouldn't have been that bad if that hadn't put so much emphasis on tates. Having to do those repeatedly got old.

Two nes games to try are Shatterhand, a decent platform game, and Nightshade, a point and click adventure type game.

I remember a game for the Genesis where you played Donald Duck called Quackshot. That was pretty fun from what I can remember from it.

No sir it did not. I love this game. Never beat it tho but its a damn good game.

I love how its like action/rpg and shooter all in one.

Another really underrated game I just thought of is Festers Quest on NES really fun kinda quirky game. A lot like Blaster Master just without the tank.

Shatterhand always made me think of Terminator because of the coverart =D

It reminds me Alundra. I wanted the psp version but it suffers from big loading times. Also this one for the pc is in Japanese so i don't think that i'll enjoye it if i get it.

This game is da bessst

It's an adventure game sort of like Monkey Island only all the interaction is through casting spells or "drafts" by weaving together musical notes.

The story is freak'n original and engrossing. GOD I love this game..

GO PLAY LOOM DAMN IT!
