Your argument that it conflicts with the themes of the series? I just ignored it because it is outrageously innacurate
Superviolence.
As much as people always love when someone else realizes their personal dream (thanks for that friendly knife twist btw)
You used my project against me first when I'm asking you to stop trying to read my mind.
And, it was friendly for real. I'd actually fawn over someone realizing my own dream. But I think I'd
put that shit aside to objectivelly analyse the evidence at hand, which is what I'm doing all this time with this animated project. Don't you think I wanna be happy for something Castlevania of high budget being done, dude?
The script? Sucks. People tried to tell me I was wrong when I said it was connected to this. Lo and behold, it is connected to this.
The themes? Sucks. "Superviolence", "Grant is a pirate", "Sypha is no more a witch", "Castle looks like
obviously evil tower and not like a castle". and the pile just keeps getting bigger (And I'd add to the list "using Kyassuruvania instead of Akumajo Dracula which could be implying that the castle won't be a Demon Castle at all but some other thing the castle isn't", but I agree this might be too much of a reach on my part).
See, I can keep going. The only thing going for me on this animation right now is the teaser, that does look pretty cool even if it's safe as fuck. I also find it conspicuously convenient that the castle shown at the end is obviously not the castle they're really using. Huh...
But you see now that I have
very little to grasp on here. I literally have the animation style itself, which again, does look nice. I'll give it to Shankar that his choice of animation studio was good based on this teaser.
no, that is not why I am excited. I am excited because I love the work of Warren Ellis and Adi Shankar
I know you love them both. But I DON'T. That's what you're not getting. You just assume they are loved by everyone, and that's not true. I don't like Ellis' past works and I don't like Shankar's edgy works. Put yourself on my shoes and try imagining two people whose work you dislike being united to do a work you like.
Now to my point that you ignored, why are you trying to play the victim and claim to be getting gas lighted when you are the one being rude to everyone who disagrees with you?
Like that time when I disagreed with you, and you went straight for my neck? Or that time I disagreed with the castle's design looking good and you teamed up with EstebanT to go straight for my neck?
It seems I can't say one WORD of disagreement (sometimes not even with someone in specific, but in criticism of the work itself) and one of you will go ballistic. WTF
My assumption was merely speculation to explain why someone who is usually very calm and logical is flying off the handle and making fun of others. For someone who claims to not be emotionally invested, you're getting extra salty. And you're the only salty one here.
Have you considered YOU might be the one acting on emotion and seeing everything I say as "being salty". You dismiss everything I say as "nah you're just upset, nah you're just salty" ignoring straight evidence that I present and detailed arguments that I make.
Guess how that makes you appear to me. I'm starting to believe I can't say anything about Ellis without you going crazy. Dude is not above criticism, yo.
