It looks a lot like Slain for sure, but with much more impressive dot art. Keeping an eye on this game.

The sprite animations look fantastic, but the level tiles and especially the backgrounds look really bland, and it comes off rather disjointed.  Plus that goofy-looking cone thing on the main character's head is just distractingly weird.

To be fair, I think the cone thing is based on a type of hat Spanish penitents wore during the Inquisition, since the guys making Blasphemous are from Seville and are really going for a Spanish Inquisition/Spanish history theme with this game.

Looks pretty awesome...the sprites and the blood animations remind me of Eternal Champions, strangely.

I'll try not to get my hopes up with this one. Slain looked pretty good too, but I've heard that ended up being mediocre at best. Still will have to try that one for myself, though, and keep an eye out for this one.
