8-bit bar

So recently I discovered an 8-bit bar in my neighborhood and it's plain awesome. I went on a live night where 8 DJ's lined up and played live 8-bit remixes.
the entire bar was filled with oldskool games and arcade stuff. My favorite the Streetfighter 2 arcade. The special menu consisted of Invader, 1-up, continue and high score cocktails.

Surprising what awesome stuff you can find in your friendly neighborhood alleys :)

My Wrong Section senses are tingling...perhaps this would be better off at the HG101 section?
That said, your discovery is pretty neat. Oh, and may I ask what SF2 iteration are you talking about? Was it one of the CPS-1 games (Vanilla, CE, HF) or the CPS-2 games (Super, ST)?
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

Maybe it's the super-rare knockoff NES Street Fighter II game, from China.
Also **moves to HG101**.

None of that where I live.  But just last year a gamer bar opened up, for role-players and other table-toppers, as well as XBoxes and such. Haven't been in there, but the building used to be a family restaurant that tanked, so now it's a big bar dedicated to geeks.

You lucky son of a Max Slimer. That's the kind of bar I would make my "the usual, Joe" place.

Must... go... *quivers*
How not to be a dark lord: the answer to that is a terribly interesting answer that involves an almost Jedi-like adherence to keeping oneself under control and finding ways to be true to yourself in a way that doesn't encourage the worst parts of you to become dangerously exaggerated and instead feeds your better nature. Also, protip: don't fuck with Alchemy or strike up any deals with ancient Japanese Shinigami gods no matter how tempting the deal or how suavely dressed the Shinigami is.

This is in Kyoto. Near Kwaramachi-dori. The SF2 I was talking about was an original arcade machine. The game still had the old names where Balrog was M.Bison, M.Bison was Vega and where Vega was Balrog.

Wasn't the name swapping more of a regional change (Capcom USA not wanting to risk getting sued by Mike Tyson)?

I dunno, about that I've seen several different versions but never cared to wonder why the diffirences were there. Always believed them to be translation errors.
