Topic: September 2017 Castlevania Dungeon Sprite Contest

Deadline for submissions: September 27th (11:59 PM PST)
Judgement: by tribunal and popular vote from September 28th to October 2nd at midnight and Winners announced on October(whenever the all judges are done)

Volunteer Judges: none

Theme: Design your own Dracula's human reincarnated form
Special things to remember:
1. It must not be Soma Cruz or any of the existing dark lord candidates from the Sorrow series.
2. It can have some special vampiric traits like Olrox or Brauner but it needs to still look like a human. Thus, no giant demonic form or something like that (unless the artist really wants to draw it as a bonus).
3. Please note me if the sprite is not for public use. We had trouble before when someone stole a sprite that was made in the contest for their own game/mockup/etc.

Prizes: Award medals for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Guidelines for Participants:
-Provide your sprite in 1x and 2x zoom at least if your sprite is small. (High resolutions sprites need not have a 2x version)
-Contestants can post as many entries as they want and may update their entries freely before the submission deadline.
-You may withdraw any entry at any time before the judgement begins.

Guidelines for Judges:
-Judgement will use a point system.
-4 points awarded for your first place choice.
-2 points awarded for your second place choice.
-1 point for your third place choice.
-When posting your scores write up an explanation/critique of your judgement.
-Additional rounds of judgement will be used for tie breakers.
-Judges cannot participate in the contest.
-There will be a poll to vote for the most popular sprite and this popular vote would serve as an extra judge.

Background:
A failed medicine student that finds himself near a small town under the attack of Dracula's minions, a prelude to his slow reincarnation process. The horrors he sees after the attack spark on him a new determination, being his new goal to stop this evil force. After a couple of failed attempts at defeating the Count's hordes using science and the most advaced weaponry available at the time, he decides to give magic a try. As he learns more powerful spells he will slowly get more and more obsessed with the idea of magic being the answer he has been looking for. Drunk with power and ambition, he becomes the perfect vessel for Dracula's soul, becoming the very same reincarnation he aimed to destroy.
My sprite shows him as a normal human at the start of his story using a candle as a light source, and then changes to him as a powerful magic user, with absolute control over fire and strongly resembling Dracula.

Story:
A vampire girl that wants to be the most poweful creature in the world.
After the destruction of Dracula Heather study to find a way to enter the castle, sadly didnt find anything so the only way to obtain the power was to wait for the prophecy.
 With his familiar valtiel she plans to obtain all the power that Draculas left.
 More info:
 She isnt  a bad creature but isnt a good one, she wants the power so she dosnt have to obey to anybody, valtiel have the power to make her looks like a human and live like one without problem.
 She fails to find the power of Dracula and since Soma beat Chaos she came back where she come from (she never meat Soma and all his friends), after that she start to look another way to obtain the power of Dracula.
  The name of the character and the familiar came from another game from Konami.

Story:
In an alternate universe Trevor and his companions menage to destroy Crimson stone and thus prevent Dracula from resurrecting in his own body.
But in his dyeing moments Dracula unleashes a terrible curse upon the world.
Heartbroken over Sypha choosing Trevor instead of him, Grant becomes easily influenced by the Curse.
Even if only women he ever loved was Sypha, Grant decides to marry someone else to pass the Danesti blood on.
Exactly a single year after death of the Count, a child was born.
The child, like Grant himself became vulnerable to the Curse.
As the child grew, it started to hear voices that speak of a throne that it would soon take.
Curious, but still cautious, the child never told anyone about the fate that the voices foretold.
The child grew into a strong man of a sharp mind, who always knew what he wanted and how to get it.
Some people were confused by the way he acted, as they used to know Grant's son to have a different aura.
One day, he suddenly disappeared.
All people remember is that he carried a stone that shined with a beautiful glow.
...
Days have passed but he wasn't found.
However, people started to worry about a bigger problem.
A castle has arisen in Transylvania.
The rumors started to spread about it's lord:
A powerful man who spoke of getting revenge for all that he has suffered in his past lives.
As he was wearing a familiar headband, people have soon realized that the disappearance and the rising were after all connected.
The man that ruled the army of darkness was Vergang Danesti himself!

Guldkrigare its a family descendant from the Cronqvist, the most young of them travel over the world to learn and study more about the alchemy, he save towns that where in danger from creatures, one day he find an old catacombs where live powerful creatures, he destroy all, in the end he find a stone, he thiks it was the Philosopher Stone but it wasnt, that stone have some dark power that can be used for the good of mankind, he absrobe the powers without warning.
 The stone talks to him, its an evil voice, perhaps its the best to not use the power?
 Absorb the dark power turn him into a Candidate but he dosnt know that.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Light effect took a lot of time and a lot of tweakings.
