I also prefer the last bat transformation.

Last version looks the best, although you might want to make it more smooth like the SotN transformation.

I get what you mean but to be fair SOTN didn't use sprite transformations :P

Here's an updated version, 10 frames total.

It looks like he moves one leg forward and one leg backwards. It seems a bit strange. (offset the sprite?) Naturally you'd move one leg back or one leg forward not both right?

Other than that I like what you made :)

It looks decent, technically speaking, but it does look uninspired. Though I admit it's hard to do something original and appealing without the use of special effects.

I will admit that I too find it not all too original, I tried several other methods that I didn't post here but they all felt off like they didn't fit the theme.
For now I think I will stick to this style until I can come up with something better.
On a side note, do you think more frames would still be ok or would it be overkill?

I don't think you need more frames. I think you could be more creative with less frames, even!

Would anyone be able to get me/direct me to aliens infestation sprites?
In particular I am interested in the marine sprites for learning purposes.

@Plot: Yes! I always wanted to see a reference to Lewis Caroll. Are the stripes and coloring inspired by the Cheshire Cat?

Awesome stuff. Also a nice scale for a dragon.

Kind of. The Jabberwock has no true description (and a reluctant illustration) so I decided to come up with something original that looked very Lewis-esque. Although I didn't inspire the colors and stripes specifically on the Cheshire Cat, you could say there is a little of him there.

The creature itself is also not really what it looks like. It is not a griffon even though it looks hybrid, not a lizard even though it has scales, not a dragon even though it has dragon wings, not a wyvern even though it's bipedal, and not a bird even though it has a beak and feathers.

It's supposed to look like a nonsensical mish-mash of things, just like the poem is.

Caroll's work plays a somewhat significant role on my project's plot, so you can expect more of his creatures to appear as Dracula's underlings. Perhaps even the Cheshire Cat himself.

Awesome stuff. Also a nice scale for a dragon.

...a *not-dragon :P

I'm looking for someone to do a spritesheet of my Castlevania OC for a future Castlevania comic, i would fully appreciate it and give full credits!

here is my OC: http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,8398.0/viewresults.html

Good P/Luck
Standing here, I realize
You were just like me, trying to make history.
But who's to judge the right from wrong?
When our guard is down, I think we'll both agree
That violence breeds violence,
But in the end it has to be this way.
