This looks AWSOME!!!

I do have one complaint thou..
Being a totaly Mythos nerd, I wonder why U choose to put Richters son in the staring role here, when its known that Richter was the last to use the Vampire Killer?? We learned this in Portrait of Ruin..

I tried using that program once with Super Vampirekiller but it never worked out. I think it would be better to have a button configuration option included with the game.

O.K. Guys. Let me introduce myself.
I'm Kreso and I'm designing a whole new Castlevania - Crimson Forest videogame. It will have standard 2D appearance, but with more classical design.
My oppinion is that DS Castlevania games (although there is some good ones) lost that atmosphere that this series has it long ago.
Everything in the game (exepct the main character) is designed by me, including the musical score too.

Anyway, You can see a short video of my work at my Youtube Channel. The game will, of course look way differently at the end, this is just a
bit of a sketch for me to see how main character acts on stage.

Hope you'll like what you saw. I will update you with any news on this thread.

Thank you for your time.
;) Cheers!

I can see why the game is called Crimson Forest. The sky's got a red hugh to it and the trees are also red in color. In fact the entire level from what I've seen looks like something out of an autum scene. Of course Autum is the time of year when most plantlife hybernates (or dies, in my opinion) so the name lives up. You've also got Richter's palatte red as well... It seems as though almost everything is red in that game. I understand if the game's still in it's infancy but the playthrough looks really roughcut and could be smoothened out a bit. The enemies (skeletons) could use some more animations to smoothen them out too. Also if you were to apply more colors to the plateforms, blocks and other foreground sprites it would definitly help it out with the visuals. But whatever you do... Don't quite the project! You must persevere! ...okay that was cheesy...  ;D

Hey is this still going or was the actual game released or something? Looked promising and it was said it was pretty much finished. Just wondering if it ever made it or if it died out.

i'm lost why this thread?
I was kinda wondering this as well. This game has been out for ages. It was kinda cool but it was pretty glitchy and the controls were god awful. (I hope that they were fixed.)I know that he was working on Castlevania BloodStorm. The demo that he posted of that title looked waay more polished than Bloodletting. I am more excited bout that one. I wonder if he going to release that one anytime soon...
