CV DXC what is known

Castlevania Dracula X Chroniclesis an all new compilation release from Konami available on the PSP October 23, 2007.  The compilation consists of Symphony of the Night, Chi no Rondo/Rondo of Blood, and  Rondo of Blood 3D.  There is also 2 player mode, but I don't know how it works.  (anyone?)

Symphony of the Night (unlockable)
As you all probably know this fine game was recently ported to XBLA and PSN.
PSP exclusives include:
-new localization
-Saturn playable Maria included with redrawn sprite/gameplay http://youtube.com/watch?v=u6t7PnrJPN8
-at least one bonus familiar
-undisclosed new items and weapons

Here is the new Maria on the right. (thank you Kale, Dark Nemesis)

Chi no Rondo (unlockable)
-previously Japan only
-straight port of Turbo Duo exclusive
-unchanged graphics, sound, music, voices, gameplay
-big bonus

Chi no Rondo

Rondo of Blood 3D (main game)
Think of REmake for GCN, remember how that multiplied the quality of Resident Evil 1 but didn't change the core game play?  Yeah, that's what this will be like, better graphics etc.
-completely new game
-3D side scrolling graphics
-fresh composers (as per Mirhiru Yamane)
-Michiru Yamane: 1 new song for remake
-new artwork from Ayami Kojima

Richter semi timeline.
.

Rondo remake pictures, Officail trailer :  :http://youtube.com/watch?v=vKwuYhZZbxY

I think the main game looks good, but I heard it didn't play well. I wish I remember what site said that so I could read it again.

Nowadays you are either a graphics whore or a fanboy. BR is Shank not CV. It is ridiculous to think that it is better than CV. If it was CV then it would be what RE4 is to Resi, a series killer. Dumb it down and make it look pretty. Enough idiots will buy it.

cool the darker material on his new coat makes a cross down his back Ive always wanted to make a part like that on the front of a coat so itd have a cross on it when you button it up.

Yeah!! Also that picture was taken by me. Anyway, we have heard, seen and listen what was about that game. The only think left to do is wait two weeks, until it gets released and judge for our selves. Also no matter what they say, remake or original new Castlevania game, i'm always happy to play it.

Nice introductory DXC topic for those who still don't know this.

I believe the 2 player mode is Boss Rush.

Yeah, I was thinking that, too.

Maybe the next console game will feature true 2-player co-op?

I never heard this game will have a 2 player mode.  But you can collect hidden sound track items that you can use to create your own soundtrack for the game.

The game is bilingual (English and Japanese voices)

The sprite familiar will be included in SOTN (Fairy with the ability to sing a song if you have a lyrics card)

SOTN will also include the Maria fight from Saturn NITM, but since Maria's sprites and gameplay are entirely different this go around, she will likely provide a new boss fight.

I support the better animation required cause.

This are good news and i hope that that they are going to be more new stuffs, but let's not going and tell all of them. Let's just keep some for surprise until we get the game and discover them for our selves. Don't you think guys?

Y'know, you are one of the very few people on this forum that actually speak with no malice in your tone! :D Good for you!

And yes, I full heartedly agree. The secrets should be kept secret until we get the game. Even though, it's still nice to take a peak in the present box before we actually obtain it.

lol thanks Dark Nemesis

Well... as long as they're giving us info in the magazines and internet I see no problem with collecting some of it.  But yeah I know what you all mean, wanting to keep the anticipation high and such.  But I doubt Konami would release all their information anyway, so there should be surprises, I'm sure.

some things that have been bugging me are 1 does SotN have borders or will it be full (wide) screen ?  2 what firmware is need to play the game?  3 which game features the boss rush mode?  (why didnt the reviewers talk about these things, gawd)
